Saddled vehicle

In a saddled vehicle, an internal combustion engine is disposed below a fuel tank and a riding seal disposed behind the fuel tank. A fuel pump is supported by a front body frame that suspends a front wheel, the fuel pump being disposed at a position where at least part of the fuel pump overlaps with the front wheel as seen in a side view. The fuel tank is supported on an upper frame member that configures part of the body frame. A protection member is extended between the upper frame member and the front body frame, and passes a front of the engine body as seen in a side view. A fuel suction pipe line is covered by the protection member from an outer lateral side and locked to the protection member, the fuel suction pipe line sucking fuel form the fuel tank to the fuel pump side.

Bicycle mounting system

A mounting system for mounting a bicycle to the tailgate of a truck bed. The mounting system includes at least a frame pad and a fork pad. The frame pad is directly attached to the bicycle's down tube and includes a handlebar strap that captures the handlebar in a positioning that renders the bicycle unridable. A fork pad for direct attachment to the bicycle's fork. The frame pad and fork pad include multiple layers of textile materials and multiple layers of cushioning materials. The multilayer frame pad and multilayer fork pad provide durability and protection for both the bicycle and the truck. The mounting system allows for easy attachment and detachment directly to the bicycle. By attaching to the bicycle rather than the truck itself, the mounting system avoids damage to the truck's parts and paint. The mounting system's direct attachment to the bicycle rather than to the truck also provides for a much greater ease of use, as compared to the mounting systems of the prior art. The mounting system may also include leashes for added horizontal bicycle stability.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

An internal combustion engine for being mounted laterally on a saddle-type vehicle includes an AC generator disposed on an end portion of a crankshaft which is supported in a crankcase. An ACG cover covers the AC generator from outside widthwise across the vehicle. The ACG cover includes an electric power transmission line cover bulging portion covering electric power transmission lines extending to the ACG cover and bulging sideways outwardly widthwise across the vehicle. A crank angle sensor is disposed behind the electric power transmission line cover bulging portion in a vehicle front-back direction. The crank angle sensor is thus protected from flying stones, etc. without an increase in the number of parts used and an increase in the weight of the internal combustion engine.

STEERER TUBE PROTECTOR

An bicycle includes a frame assembly having a head tube and a fork having a steerer tube mounted for rotation in the head tube. The bicycle further includes wheels supporting the frame assembly, and a component line positioned at least partially in the head tube and between the head tube and the steerer tube. The bicycle further includes a protector positioned in the head tube and separating the component line from the steerer tube.
