The present invention relates to an electrically powered kickboard, and more particularly, to an electrically powered kickboard with a detachable battery. The present invention discloses an electrically powered kickboard including: a body unit in which a battery is mounted in a detachable manner; a steering unit disposed on a front end of the body unit to adjust a traveling direction of the body unit; a front wheel unit disposed on a lower end of the steering wheel unit; a rear wheel unit disposed on a rear end of the body unit; and a driving unit installed on at least one of the front wheel unit and the rear wheel unit and configured to drive at least one of the front wheel unit and the rear wheel unit to rotate through an electric power supplied from the battery.

A variety of scooters are disclosed. In some embodiments, a scooter can include a pivot assembly that allows the scooter to move between a folded and unfolded configuration. The pivot assembly can include a knob that frees a pin from a bracket to allow the scooter to fold. Turing the knob increases compressive forces on elements of the pivot assembly to reduce rattling noise and wobbling movement when the scooter is in use. Some embodiments of the scooter can include a center stand that can be deployed from either side of the scooter deck to stabilize the scooter when the scooter is stationary. Certain embodiments have an ergonomic handgrip.

The frame assembly may include a steering tube that is rotatably disposed within a head tube with a cam at a top end and a pair of forks at a bottom end to which is coupled an axle of the wheel. An arm may be disposed on and rotatably coupled to the seat assembly, and rotatably coupled to a left armrest and right armrest. A steering rod may be coupled to the cam and to one of the arms, the left armrest or the right armrest, such that forward movement of one of the armrests causes the steering rod to be translated forward and the cam to rotate in one direction, and backward movement of the same armrest causes the steering rod to be translated backward and the cam to rotate in an opposite direction.

Oscillating fore and aft movement of the hand bar is converted to rotational movement to drive a driven wheel by a dual, reverse motion slip clutch. The hand bar can have a U-shaped yoke with a seat positioned between uprights of the yoke. The yoke can be combined with an integrated steering mechanism to both drive the driven wheel and turn a directional wheel. A combiner can combine motion from the arm drive and a leg drive.

The transmission assembly may include a motor gear, a planetary gear, an idler gear, and a ring gear. The idler gear may be positioned farther away from an axis of rotation of the hub motor arrangement compared to the planetary gear. The motor gear may drive the planetary gear, the planetary gear may drive the idler gear, and idler gear may drive the ring gear. The rotation of the ring gear may rotate a housing of the hub motor arrangement to propel a vehicle incorporating the hub motor arrangement.
