A method implemented by one or more processors includes receiving vehicle data associated with an operation of a micromobility vehicle, and determining, based on the vehicle data, a braking action to be performed by the micromobility vehicle. The braking action is configured to effect the operation of the micromobility vehicle. The method further includes identifying, based at least in part on one or more components of a powertrain of the micromobility vehicle, one or more authentication identifiers associated with a secured functionality of the one or more components of the powertrain, and in response to determining that the one or more authentication identifiers satisfies a predetermined condition, causing the micromobility vehicle to perform the braking action.

ADJUSTABLE ASSEMBLY FOR BICYCLES AND METHODS OF USING SAME
20190077477 · 2019-03-14 ·

An adjustable assembly for a bicycle includes a first support having an interior surface and a second support slidably positioned within at least a portion of the first support. One of the first support and the second support is adapted to attach to a first bicycle portion, and the other of the first support and the second support is adapted to attach to a second bicycle portion. Further, the second support comprises an expansion portion configured to be moved between an expanded position and a retracted position. The expansion portion is configured to engage the interior surface of the first support when the expansion portion is in an expanded position. In addition, the first support is configured to be selectively moved relative to the second support when the expansion portion is permitted to assume a retracted position.

Recumbent Bicycle with Direct Underseat Steering

The invention allows a rider to operate a bicycle in a recumbent position, and steer the bicycle using a direct underseat steering system. The recumbent position, compared to the typical upright riding position, greatly reduces air resistance and required effort. The direct underseat steering system is mechanically simple, which makes is less costly to manufacture, and the direct steering system is also less likely than linkage-based systems to be damaged in a crash. The frame geometry allows the manufacturer to use inexpensive materials and techniques, while still providing the rider adequate stiffness and durability.

TWO-WHEELED VEHICLE FRAME, IN PARTICULAR FOR A PEDELEC

The invention relates to a two-wheeled vehicle frame with two frame half-shells (1, 1) which are joined so as to form a support frame (3), thereby forming at least one inner cavity (2). The support frame (3) has at least one separating surface (4) on which the two frame half-shells (1, 1) rest against each other. The support frame (3) preferably has receiving areas (5, 6, 7) for a handlebar tube and/or a bottom bracket and/or an operator seat tube. The support frame (3) forms a rear structure (8) for assembling a rear wheel (9) at the rear end when seen in the travel direction (z). In order to form the rear structure (8), a left-hand support brace (10) when seen in the travel direction (z) and a right-hand support brace (11) when seen in the travel direction (z) are provided such that the rear wheel (8) can be mounted between the two support braces (10, 11). According to the invention, the separating surface (4) runs between the two frame half-shells (1, 1) as well as through the left-hand support brace (10) and through the right-hand support brace (11).

SEAT POST FOR BICYCLE
20190016402 · 2019-01-17 ·

The present invention provides a bicycle seat post with one end thereof having a rail support for securing two rails of a bicycle seat. The rail support comprises an accommodation member having an aperture, an adjusting member detachably engaged within the aperture of the accommodation member, and the adjusting member having at least one displacement hole, and a first clamp assembly and a second clamp assembly disposed on two sides of the displacement hole of the adjusting member to secure the two rails of the seat. The rotational mechanism of the present invention is designed with the displacement hole being disposed within the adjusting member, therefore facilitating the rotary adjustment of the seat by adjusting the position of the displacement hole and securing the relative position of the first and second clamp assemblies.
