RECUMBENT BICYCLE
20190152553 · 2019-05-23 ·

A recumbent bicycle for recumbent riding includes a frame that is tubular and elongated. A handlebar, which is ape hanger-styled, is rotationally coupled to a front of the frame. A first wheel and a second wheel are rotationally coupled to a rear of the frame and the handlebar, respectively. A seat is coupled to a top of the frame. A sprocket, which is coupled to the frame proximate to the front, is operationally coupled to the first wheel. A pair of pedals is coupled to and extends from the sprocket. Each pedal is configured to position a respective foot of the user so that the user is positioned to compel rotation of the sprocket concurrent with the pedals. The sprocket is positioned to compel rotation of the first wheel to locomote the frame and the user. The pedals also are configured to be reversibly rotated to brake the first wheel.

MICRO-MOBILITY FLEET VEHICLE POWERTRAIN SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A method implemented by one or more processors includes receiving vehicle data associated with an operation of a micromobility vehicle, and determining, based on the vehicle data, a braking action to be performed by the micromobility vehicle. The braking action is configured to effect the operation of the micromobility vehicle. The method further includes identifying, based at least in part on one or more components of a powertrain of the micromobility vehicle, one or more authentication identifiers associated with a secured functionality of the one or more components of the powertrain, and in response to determining that the one or more authentication identifiers satisfies a predetermined condition, causing the micromobility vehicle to perform the braking action.

BICYCLE HUB ASSEMBLY

A bicycle hub assembly comprises a hub axle, a hub body, and a sprocket support body. The hub body includes a first spoke-mounting portion, a second spoke-mounting portion, and a first axial length. The first axial length is defined between a first axially outermost part of the first spoke-mounting portion and a second axially outermost part of the second spoke-mounting portion in an axial direction with respect to a rotational center axis. The first axial length is equal to or larger than 55 mm. The sprocket support body is rotatably mounted on the hub axle about the rotational center axis. The sprocket support body includes at least ten external spline teeth configured to engage with a bicycle rear sprocket assembly. Each of the at least ten external spline teeth has an external-spline driving surface and an external-spline non-driving surface.

Wheel Unit for a Vehicle

To provide a braking device that achieves unidirectionality without limiting the direction of rotation of a rotor. The present invention is characterized by being equipped with a housing (10), a rotor (20) provided inside the housing (10), brake shoes (30) provided between the rotor (20) and the housing (10), first protruding parts (40) that move together with the brake shoes (30), and second protruding parts (50) that move in conjunction with the rotation of the rotor (20), with the first protruding parts (40) riding up on the second protruding parts only when the rotor (20) rotates in the normal direction, and thereby generating greater friction between the brake shoes (30) and the housing (10) than the friction that can be generated between the brake shoes (30) and the housing (10) when the rotor (20) rotates in the reverse direction.

Bicycle brake caliper assembly

A bicycle brake caliper assembly comprises a brake caliper and a base member. The brake caliper is configured to apply a braking force on a brake disc rotor configured to be rotatable about a rotational axis. The base member is configured to be coupled to the brake caliper and to be attached to a bicycle frame such that relative position between the rotational axis of the brake disc rotor and the brake caliper is adjustable in a radial direction of the brake disc rotor. The base member includes a first coupling portion at which the brake caliper is coupled, and a second coupling portion at which the brake caliper is coupled and which is arranged apart from the first coupling portion in the radial direction.
