BICYCLE CRANK WITH SPINDLE ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE
A composite bicycle crank with an integral spindle attachment structure provides a unique method for attaching a bicycle crank arm to a bicycle crank spindle, and also for attaching a bicycle crank arm to a crank arm insert. A light-weight crank arm is able to be manufactured separately from the crank spindle or insert, and then securely attached after both pieces have been made. This allows for the pieces of the crank assembly to be manufactured from one or more different materials, and securely connected after manufacturing, to create a lower weight assembly than would be possible otherwise.
ADHESIVELY COUPLED POWER-METER FOR MEASUREMENT OF FORCE, TORQUE, AND POWER AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
An adhesively coupled power-meter measures one or more of force, torque, power, and velocity of a mechanical arm. The power meter includes a plate with a first surface prepared for adhesively coupling to the mechanical arm. At least one strain gauge is physically coupled with a second surface, opposite the first, of the plate and with an orientation corresponding to an orientation of the adhesively coupled power meter such that mechanical forces are transferred from mechanical arm to the at least one strain gauge when the plate is adhesively coupled to the mechanical arm. The power meter also includes electronics for receiving a signal from the at least one strain gauge and for determining one or more of force, torque, power and velocity from the signal, and a wireless transmitter for transmitting one or more of force, torque, power and velocity to a receiving device.
BICYCLE ELECTRICAL UNIT FOR BICYCLE CRANK ASSEMBLY
A bicycle electrical unit is provided for a bicycle crank assembly. The bicycle electrical unit includes a housing, a wireless communication unit and a charge receiver port. The housing is mounted on a crank arm. The wireless communication unit is enclosed in the housing. The charge receiver port is provided on the housing.
Child's riding bike that converts between a balance bike and a pedal-powered bicycle
A child's riding vehicle can be quickly reconfigured between a balance bike configuration and a pedal-powered bicycle configuration, suitable for children of different ages, without removing any parts to be stored separately. The pedal crank arms can be repositioned on the crank and the pedal axles can be pivoted so that in the balance bike configuration: the pedal crank arms are positioned adjacent to one another and generally upward; the pedal axles are pointed mostly rearwardly but also slightly inwardly rather than extending transversely side-to-side; and the crank arms and pedal axles are telescoped in. The result is that in the balance bike configuration the pedals and crank arms are compacted and folded out of the way so as not to interfere with the child riding the vehicle.

Rotation sensor for an electrical bike pedal
A device for detecting rotation of a bicycle pedal mechanism and communicating that information to an electronic bicycle wheel motor controller.

FRONT DERAILLEUR
A front derailleur basically includes a fixed member, a movable member, a driven link and a first link. The fixing member is configured to be fixed to a bicycle frame. The movable member is movably supported with respect to the fixed member. The driven link is operatively coupled to the movable member. The first link movably connects the movable member to the fixed member, and is adjustably coupled to the driven link in a fixed position by a fixing structure to establish a fixed rest position of the movable member with respect to the fixed member.
CRANK-PEDAL MECHANISM FOR BICYCLE
A quick-mount crank-pedal mechanism for a children bicycle is provided. The quick-mount crank-pedal mechanism is composed of the following two parts including a crank rod and a crank bearing. The crank rod and the crank bearing are fitted with each other. With the mechanism, a pedal is enabled to be in a usable state quickly without using any tools, and a tip of the crank is effectively protected from puncturing through a carton, thereby reducing potential safety hazards.
Bicycle crank arm and insert therefore
A crank arm for a bicycle may include a body extending along a body axis and having a first body end and a second body end axially spaced apart from the first body end. The insert may also include an insert provided toward the first body end. The insert may include a base portion having a radially outer surface. At least one extension may extend outwardly from the radially outer surface and may be encased within a corresponding recess in the body whereby relative planar movement between the body and the at least one extension in a first plane. The retaining portion may have a retaining portion width measured in the first direction and the retaining width may be greater than the throat width thereby inhibiting relative radial movement between the at least one extension and the recess and preventing radial extraction of the extension from the corresponding recess.
