Novel Modified Acid Compositions as Alternatives to Conventional Acids in the Oil and Gas Industry
An aqueous modified acid composition for industrial activities, said composition comprising: an alkanolamine and strong acid in a molar ratio of not less than 1:15, preferably not less than 1:10; it can also further comprise a metal iodide or iodate. Said composition demonstrates advantages over known conventional acids and modified acids.
Colostrum Solid Extraction Process
A colostrum solid extraction process utilizes rennet coagulation prior to pH adjustment to alter the protein profile resulting in an animal feed supplement which enhances feed efficiency and general health. Rennet coagulation is used to produce extracted whey from colostrum. A pH of the extracted whey is adjusted by cooling the extracted whey to below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, adding an first solution to lower the pH of the extracted whey to 4.2 pH, adding a second solution to lower the pH of the extracted whey to 2.5 pH, agitating the extracted whey after reaching 2.5 pH, resting the extracted whey after agitation, and adding a third solution to raise the pH of the extracted whey to 4.2 pH.
A METHOD OF AND APPARATUSES FOR ASSESSING FAT IN DAIRY PROCESSING
A method of and apparatus (18) are described for assessing fat in whey in the making of a dairy product in accordance with a dairy product recipe. The method comprises the steps of: a. using one or more optical sensors (61, 62, 63, 64) to sense at least one stream (22, 24, 27, 29) of whey separated from curd in dairy product making apparatus (18) and generate one or more signals indicative of the degree of occlusion of the stream (22, 24, 27, 29) of whey; b. converting or processing one or more said signals as a measure of the specific mass of fat lost from curd in a dairy product making plant (18) in the stream of whey; c. assessing whether the value of specific mass of fat lost obtained in Step b lies within or outside a predetermined fat loss range; and d. if the said value of specific mass of fat lost is outside the predetermined range, adjusting the recipe so that the value of specific mass of fat lost lies within the predetermined range.
DRYER FOR LACTOSE AND HIGH LACTOSE PRODUCTS
A system for drying a wet lactose product stream includes a disperser configured to disperse agglomerated lactose particulates in a wet lactose stream into a dispersed wet lactose stream. A back-mixed partial drying zone is configured to at least partially dry the dispersed wet lactose stream by recirculating a partially dried lactose stream with the dispersed wet lactose stream. A plug-flow secondary drying zone is configured to dry the partially dried lactose stream to generate a substantially dried lactose stream.

SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR INCREASING SOLIDS CONTENT OF SKIM MILK OR WHEY
The present disclosure relates to systems and processes for production of a concentrate of skim milk or whey. Such systems and processes may include the steps of providing a feed of skim milk or whey, subjecting said feed to a reverse osmosis to obtain a reverse osmosis permeate and a concentrate of skim milk or whey, and subjecting the concentrate of skim milk or whey to an ultra-filtration to obtain an ultra-filtration permeate and a retentate of skim milk or whey.

PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING WHEY PROTEIN AGGREGATES
Processes and systems are provided for aggregating whey protein including preparing a whey protein solution containing native whey protein, adjusting the pH of the whey protein solution, denaturing at least a portion of the native whey protein, separating the denatured material and processing the denatured material by shearing to form whey protein aggregates. Also provided are whey protein aggregates and uses thereof, such as in the production of dairy products or in cheesemaking.
METHODS FOR ENHANCING MUSCLE PERFORMANCE OR REDUCING CHRONIC FATIGUE BY ADMINISTERING BOVINE MILK-DERIVED EXOSOMES
A method of enhancing muscle performance in a subject in need of improved physical performance comprises administering an exosome-enriched product comprising intact bovine milk-derived exosomes to the subject in need thereof. A method of reducing chronic fatigue in a subject recovering or recovered from a viral infection comprises administering an exosome-enriched product comprising intact bovine milk-derived exosomes to the subject.
