SELF-BALANCING TWO-WHEELED VEHICLE
In an aspect, a self-balancing two-wheeled vehicle is provided, having a body, and first and second wheels rotatably coupled to the body. The second wheel has at least one lateral roller rotatable about an axis that is one of oblique and orthogonal to a rotation axis of the second wheel. At least one motor is coupled to the second wheel to control rotation of the second wheel and the at least one lateral roller. At least one sensor is coupled to the body to generate orientation data therefor. A control module is coupled to the at least one motor to control operation thereof at least partially based on the orientation data generated by the at least one sensor.
Vehicle power-assist drive systems
A power-assist drive system for a vehicle (e.g., a bicycle) is provided. The system includes a drive unit assembly attached to a frame of a vehicle and a motor having an output shaft, and a drive gear rotatably associated with the output shaft. The system further includes a driven unit assembly including a driven gear configured to be attached to a wheel hub of the vehicle, and a brake disc coaxially attached to the driven gear. The drive gear may be configured to operably engage the driven gear to transmit power from the motor to the wheel hub. A brake caliper may be integrated with the drive unit assembly. The system may further include a battery and a speed controller configured to receive an input signal to selectively direct electrical power from the battery to the motor to drive the wheel via the drive gear and the driven gear.

Rider's seat for a two-wheeled vehicle
A rider's seat for a two-wheeled vehicle, in particular a scooter, includes a seating body and a bracket connecting the seating body to a body of the two-wheeled vehicle. The bracket is displaceable relative to the body of the two-wheeled vehicle along a longitudinal direction of the two-wheeled vehicle. The seating body is displaceable relative to the bracket at least along a vertical direction of the two-wheeled vehicle. The seating body is partially received within a guide of the bracket such that the guide of the bracket directs displacement of the seating body at least along the vertical direction of the two-wheeled vehicle. The guide of the bracket includes a curvilinear profile.

NARROW THREE WHEELED VEHICLE WITH STABILIZING AND MODULAR MECHANISMS
A three-wheeled vehicle includes a vehicle frame supported by a single wheel engaging the ground in the front and two wheels engaging the ground in the rear. The operator area of the vehicle may include seating for a driver and a passenger, one in front of the other. The three-wheeled vehicle is uniquely designed so that it can be easily modified by addition or removal of additional structures after it is purchased. The vehicle is ultra-narrow but achieves stability by unique mechanisms.

SADDLE RIDING VEHICLE
A saddle riding vehicle includes an internal combustion engine having a crankshaft, a starter motor having a rotary shaft connected to the crankshaft, a main shaft connected to the crankshaft, a countershaft connected to the main shaft and configured to transmit power to a driving wheel, a battery configured to supply electric power to the starter motor, a rotation detector configured to detect a rotation state of the crankshaft, an acquisition part configured to acquire a rotational speed on the basis of the rotation state detected by the rotation detector, and a controller configured to stop the starter motor in a case the rotational speed is equal to or smaller than first threshold in a state in which the rotary shaft, the crankshaft, the main shaft and the countershaft are connected.
QUICKSHIFTER-EQUIPPED VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT AND QUICKSHIFTER-EQUIPPED MOTORCYCLE
A quickshifter-equipped vehicle control unit includes an engine speed calculator configured to calculate an engine speed and a shift controller configured to operate in a quick shift mode and in a normal shift mode. The quick shift mode is a mode in which upon detection of the shift operation, the shift controller adjusts an output of an engine while keeping a main clutch in an engaged state, and the normal shift mode is a mode in which upon detection of the shift operation, the shift controller controls a clutch actuator to bring the main clutch into a disengaged state. The shift controller selects the quick shift mode when the engine speed is higher than a predetermined rotational speed threshold, and selects the normal shift mode when the engine speed is lower than the rotational speed threshold.
