Drivetrain system for bicycle and chainring installation structure thereof
10569829 · 2020-02-25 · ·

A chainring installation structure includes a crank, a spindle, and a swing assembly. The spindle includes a first rotational axis, and one end of the spindle is connected to the crank. The crank drives the spindle to cause the spindle to rotate about the first rotational axis. The swing assembly is disposed at one end of the spindle adjacent to the crank without contacting the crank. The swing assembly can shift axially relative to the spindle. The swing assembly includes a second rotational axis that crosses the first rotational axis, in which the swing assembly can rotate about the second rotational axis.

Velocipede having split drive train

A velocipede includes a pedal crank for pedals to allow an operator to power the velocipede, and a transmission hub or component that is coupled to the pedal crank by a first chain or belt. The transmission component is located rearward of the pedal crank in the frame of the velocipede, such as under a seat position, and is further connected to a rear wheel at an output of the transmission component by a second chain or belt. The transmission has an output that is coupled to a rear wheel assembly. In some embodiments the rear wheel assembly can be mounted in a swingarm that pivots about a transverse axis defined by the output of the transmission. In some embodiments the rear wheel assembly can include an electric motor to drive a rear wheel.

AEROSOL SPRAY GUARD

A spray guard mountable to an aerosol dispenser has a catchment tray, a mounting means and a backsplash. The catchment tray and the backsplash, together are configured for being moveable between a storage position shaped to wrappingly accommodate a curvature of the aerosol dispenser, and an in-use position wherein the backsplash extends substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the catchment tray. The spray guard may be used to capture overspray from an aerosol dispenser by placing the target object between the nozzle of the aerosol dispenser and the spray guard. Alternatively, the spray guard may be placed in front of small or awkwardly positioned items and used to narrowly focus the aerosol spray. The spray guard can feature a stencil and be used to focus an aerosol spray to transfer a stenciled image on to a substrate.

Alternating tooth chain ring

The present disclosure relates to a chain ring having teeth positioned in one of three lateral positions. At least one tooth may be placed in each lateral position. At least half the teeth may be positioned in a middle lateral position. The teeth in the first and third lateral positions may apply opposing lateral forces to a bicycle drive chain.

A bicycle sprocket is basically provided with a sprocket body and a plurality of chain-driving teeth. The sprocket body includes a central portion, an annular portion and an intermediate portion. The central portion has a first end surface disposed around a central opening on a side surface of the intermediate portion. The annular portion is disposed radially outward from the central portion. The intermediate portion extends between the central portion and the annular portion in a radial direction. The chain-driving teeth extend radially outward from the annular portion of the sprocket body to engage with a bicycle chain. The sprocket body includes a rib protruding from the side surface of the intermediate portion. The rib has a second end surface being axially outermost in the intermediate portion. The second end surface is farther away from the center plane than the first end surface in the axial direction.

A drive system for a vehicle includes a chain ring and a drive chain. The chain ring has a plurality of teeth serially arranged and joined to one another. A first subset of teeth has a first outer face that applies a lateral pressure to a link of a drive chain in a first direction. A second subset of teeth has a second outer face that applies a lateral pressure to another link of a drive chain in a second direction. The teeth all have substantially the same width. The top surfaces of the teeth are offset from the centerline of the drive chain. The centerlines of the top surfaces of the teeth are arranged asymmetrically on one side of the centerline of the drive chain.
