ALERT CONTROL SYSTEM, ALERT CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM STORING ALERT CONTROL PROGRAM
20180339753 · 2018-11-29 · ·

An alert control system includes a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory, wherein the processor is configured to: receive a first input of an anchorage instruction or a second input indicating an anchorage state, and perform, in accordance with the first input or the second input, control to reduce a number of kinds of triggers which output an alert.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RAISING AND LOWERING A MARINE DEVICE ON A MARINE VESSEL

A system for a marine vessel operating in a body of water includes a trimmable marine device coupled to and movable with respect to the vessel and an actuator that raises and lowers the marine device. A control module is in signal communication with the actuator. A GPS receiver determines a current and/or predicted global position of the vessel, and a processor accesses a memory storing bathymetry data and retrieves a water depth corresponding to the vessel's current and/or predicted global position. The control module compares the water depth to a depth of the marine device based on the marine device's current position. The actuator raises the marine device in response to the control module determining that the water depth is not enough to accommodate the depth of the marine device at the current position without potential collision between the marine device and the body of water's bottom.

Marine rail mounted lighting system and associated methods
10099755 · 2018-10-16 ·

A pivoting rail mounted lighting system for boats which includes three separate portable housings and a light source located in these housings. Each light source being visible from outside the housing such that when the first housing is illuminated, a red colored light source is illuminated for rail mounting to the Port side of the vessel, when the second housing is illuminated, a green colored light source is illuminated for rail mounting to the Starboard side of the vessel, and when the third housing is illuminated, an All Around white light is illuminated for rail mounting to the portions of the vessels railing systems. A quick connect and release pivoting bracket is connected to the housings and is designed to releasably connect to multiple positions along boat railings and allow the light housings to be pivoted into the proper direction to display the correct angle of light.

Virtual Radar Apparatus and Method

A virtual radar system. In one embodiment, the system includes a vehicle-based mobile device subsystem, said vehicle-based mobile device subsystem located in a vehicle; a control station subsystem, and a cloud-based data subsystem comprising a cloud-based database for holding data regarding a plurality of locations of a plurality of vehicles and a plurality of cloud transaction processors in communication with the cloud-based database. In another embodiment, said cloud transaction processors calculate the positions of the plurality of vehicles, their trajectories, and the probability of a collision between vehicles and issue a warning to the vehicles in response thereto.

Framework for controlling devices

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, that control devices in an aquaculture environment. One of the methods includes determining a particular objective for a robot that is operating in an aquaculture environment and determining one or more sensed conditions that are associated with the aquaculture environment. The particular objective is provided to an anti-fish-startling model evaluation engine that is configured to output actions, for a given objective, that accomplish the given objective while reducing a startling effect on nearby fish. Based on providing the particular objective to the anti-fish-startling model evaluation engine, one or more particular actions for accomplishing the particular objective are determined. The one or more particular actions are transmitted to another device.

Backlighted surface covering
12097935 · 2024-09-24 · ·

A system and method for lighting a surface, for example a deck of a boat, spa, swim spa, pool, watercraft or vehicle, using backlighting such that decorative or other desired patterns of light may be created by forming cuts, outlines, thin sections, or voids in an overlay that is applied to the lighted surface, allowing light to pass through or around portions of the overlay material. In an exemplary use of the system and method of the invention, the surface may be the surface of a boat or spa. The surface may comprise transparent or translucent materials, allowing light from a first side of the decking, or light that is generated within the decking, to pass through the decking and to emanate from a second decking side, where the light may be blocked, partially blocked, or allowed to pass through the overlay material in any desired pattern or shape.

Electronically powered illuminating fin system for watersports involving boards
20180229820 · 2018-08-16 ·

An electronically powered, light emitting fin used with a surfboard or paddleboard, or similar water sports board. The fin is configured to be attached to the water sports board to provide illumination under the board when using the device. The lighted fin may be particularly useful when using the water sports board at night to illuminate water beneath the board.

Sustained release water marking device for search and rescue
10040524 · 2018-08-07 ·

A device that can provide sustained release of a detectable marker into a surrounding body of water as well as methods of forming the device and methods of using the device. The devices and methods can be utilized to locate people or vessels, e.g., by search and rescue personnel, following the disabling of air or water vessels of any type or size on/in a body of water. The devices include multiple, separated layers that each include a detectable marker, e.g., a fluorescent dye. The dye-containing layers are separated from one another and sequentially released over a predetermined controlled period of time and as such the device can continue to release a detectable marker over an extended period of time into surrounding water.
