A mooring buoy reservation system is disclosed. The system comprises a mooring buoy that has the ability to enable or disable a tie up point on the buoy. The buoy has a microprocessor in communication with a server. And the server is in communication with a boat device. Also a method of a subscriber reserving a buoy through the server, paying for the buoy's use, and mooring to an enabled buoy is disclosed.

Non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for storing collision risk calculation program, collision risk calculation method, and collision risk calculation apparatus

A method for a collision risk calculation includes: executing acquisition processing that includes acquiring travel information regarding a position and velocity of each of a first vessel and a second vessel; executing region calculation processing that includes calculating a region having a possibility of future collision between the first vessel and the second vessel from the travel information of each of the first vessel and the second vessel; and executing first risk calculation processing that includes calculating a first risk value based on a maneuvering amount used by the first vessel or the second vessel in order to avoid the region.

TELESCOPING MONOPOD SYSTEM FOR BOAT SEAT CONNECTION
20220297806 · 2022-09-22 ·

A monopod for mounting to the boat seat mount of a marine vessel, such as a bass boat or speed boat, which is capable of providing power for mobile accessories via a second monopod affixed to the navigation light port of the boat. The monopod is extendable to heights up to or exceeding eight feet (8′) above the deck of the boat, providing exceptional views for recording with a mounted camera while users participate in sports or other events within the boat. A release mechanism allows one portion of the monopod to telescope away from a second portion, thereby extending the monopod.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OUTBOARD MOTOR
20220106029 · 2022-04-07 ·

A system for controlling an outboard motor attached to a boat includes an input, a light unit, and a controller. The input is operable by an operator to select a control mode of the outboard motor. The light unit includes a plurality of light sources. The controller is connected to the input and the light unit. The controller controls the outboard motor according to the control mode. The controller controls the light unit to light the plurality of light sources in a pattern indicating a movement of the boat according to the control mode.

System for dangerous current identification, characterization, alerting and for distressed swimmer location and assistance

A vessel includes a body, such as surfboard, that floats in water. One or more thrusters, and one or more sensors are provided on the body. A controller is configured to selectively activate the thrusters to cause the vessel to move along a path through the water, receive sensor data from the one or more sensors while the vessel is moving along the path, determine, based on the sensor data, whether a dangerous condition is present in the water; and output a warning when the dangerous condition is present in the water. For example, the collected sensor data may relate to locations and directions of currents in the water, the dangerous condition may relate to a rip current, and the warning may identify at least one attribute of the rip current. A map identifying a location of the dangerous condition may be generated and forwarded to other devices.
