Bow-mounted detecting system
The present disclosure relates to water vessels with a bow-mounted detecting system and methods for monitoring movement of an anchor at a bow of a water vessel. More particularly, a water vessel as disclosed herein can include an anchor apparatus positioned in or on a hull of the water vessel at about a bow thereof, a detecting positioned in or on the hull of the water vessel at about the bow thereof and having a forward-directed field-of-view, and a display device adapted to receive from the detecting device and display one or more captured images of the forward scene. A method as disclosed herein can comprise providing a water vessel as disclosed herein, activating the display device to display the one or more captured images, and activating the anchor apparatus so as to cause motorized deployment or retrieval of an anchor. The water vessel can particularly provide for real-time monitoring of deploying and/or retrieving an anchor using the detecting device and the display device.
Perimeter ranging sensor systems and methods
Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods to provide perimeter ranging for navigation of mobile structures. A navigation control system includes a logic device, a perimeter ranging sensor, one or more actuators/controllers, and modules to interface with users, sensors, actuators, and/or other elements of a mobile structure. The logic device is configured to receive perimeter sensor data from the perimeter ranging system. The logic device determines a range to and/or a relative velocity of a navigation hazard disposed within a monitoring perimeter of the perimeter ranging system based on the received perimeter sensor data. The logic device then generates a display view of the perimeter sensor data or determines navigation control signals based on the range and/or relative velocity of the navigation hazard. Control signals may be displayed to a user and/or used to adjust a steering actuator, a propulsion system thrust, and/or other operational systems of the mobile structure.

CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCTION VIA CETACEAN PROTECTION
A system may include a memory and a processor in communication with the memory. The processor may be configured to perform operations. The operations may include collecting organism data and analyzing the organism data. The operations may also include predicting a organism movement pattern based on the organism data and relaying the organism movement pattern to a participant.
NAUTICAL CHART PROCESSING DEVICE AND NAUTICAL CHART PROCESSING METHOD
A nautical chart processing device is provided. The nautical chart processing device includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to receive position information indicating position of a pair of base points on an electronic chart, set a movable measurement point on a straight line connecting the pair of base points in real time, calculate, on the electronic chart, a distance between the movable measurement point and at least one base point of the pair of base points, and output position information of the movable measurement point and the calculated distance.

MARINE VESSEL CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A SHALLOW WATER ANCHOR
A marine vessel control system operable to be used with a shallow water anchor and a motor. The marine vessel control system comprising a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to receive a user command to maintain a position of a marine vessel, receive sonar data, determine a water depth relative to a water bottom based on the sonar data in response to receiving the user command, and transmit a command to use the shallow water anchor and/or the motor based on the water depth.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ROUTE PLANNING
A route planning apparatus is provided for planning a navigation route of a ship. The route planning apparatus includes a display to display a chart on a screen; and an operation interface configured to designate a position in the screen. In addition, the route planning apparatus includes a storage configured to store one or more potential base points that may be a potential base point of a waypoint; a processing circuitry configured to: set a waypoint on the chart in response to a navigator's operation; extract the base points within a predetermined range of the set waypoint as a reference from the storage; and a determine the extracted potential base point to be the base point of the set waypoint.

Boat and control method for same
A sensor detects a shape of a shore arrival location and a positional relationship of the shore arrival location and a boat body and outputs environment information indicating the shape of the shore arrival location and the positional relationship. A controller receives the environment information and generates an instruction signal to control a propulsion device to cause the boat body to move toward the shore arrival position set based on the environment information and to push the boat body to the shore arrival location.
