Marine vessel with moving control unit
Disclosed herein is a marine vessel, which in one example comprises a substantially continuous deck. Also disclosed is an example with a plurality of parallel longitudinally aligned channels extending from the forward deck to the aft deck. The vessel having a vessel cabin resting on and longitudinally movable upon the deck. The vessel cabin in one example having a plurality of rolling wheels attached thereto; wherein the rolling wheels roll upon the deck and allow longitudinal movement of the vessel cabin between the aft region and the forward region. A drive unit (motor) may be provided. The drive unit optionally mounted to the cabin and in one example having a drive wheel mounted to the drive unit and configured to rotate the drive wheel. The drive wheel(s) contacting the deck such that rotation of the drive wheel repositions the cabin between the aft region and the forward region.
DEVICE, PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM FOR ASSISTING MAINTENANCE OF MARINE EQUIPMENT
A first unit acquires attribute record data and a second unit acquires deterioration degree data from a terminal device mounted on a ship. The attribute record data indicates an attribute relating to a past sailing of the ship. The deterioration degree data indicates a deterioration degree, which is checked during performance of maintenance work, of each device mounted on the ship. A third unit generates relational data indicating a relation between various attributes relating to the state of the sailing of the ship and the deterioration degree of the device based on the attribute record data and deterioration degree data. A fourth unit acquires estimated attribute data indicating an estimated value of the attributes relating to sailing of the ship. A fifth unit generates timing data indicating a timing of maintenance work to be performed on each device based on the attribute record data, estimated attribute data, and relational data.
TRANSDUCER MOUNTING DEVICE
A transducer mounting device includes a deformable substrate having a first side and a second side. The deformable substrate defines an aperture having an inner diameter and an outer diameter configured to receive a transducer assembly so that at least a portion of the transducer assembly is disposed in the aperture between the first side and the second side. The deformable substrate has an adhesive layer disposed upon the second side of the deformable substrate. The adhesive layer is configured to adhere the deformable substrate to a surface.
Method for calculating the surface speed of at least one vessel and method for deducing each drift vector at every point on the path of said vessel
A method for calculating the surface vector of at least one vessel progressing under engine at cruising speed. When the vessel is in a defined position, the parameters of the vessel, including its position, its heading, its speed over ground and its course over ground, are obtained. Wind and/or current measurements in the proximity of the vessel are obtained using a device external to the vessel. The drift vector is determined from wind and/or current measurements. The over-ground vector is determined from the parameters selected from the position, the speed over ground and the course over ground of the vessel. The magnitude and the direction of the surface vector of the vessel is calculated.
SEALING ARRANGEMENT FOR AN UNDERWATER MOUNTABLE THRUSTER OF A MARINE VESSEL
A sealing arrangement is used when mounting a thruster in a well box attached to a hull of a marine vessel. The well box has an axis, a bottom flange, a top flange, an annular wall therebetween and hoisting pipes fastened parallel with the axis to the bottom flange radially outside the annular wall. Both the well box and a mounting flange have at least one surface acting as a sealing surface between the well box and the thruster. At least one of the surfaces has a groove for a seal for preventing water from entering the well box. The well box has a rotationally symmetric wall with an internal guide surface and the mounting flange of the thruster has an axially extending rotationally symmetric part provided with an outer surface having means for sealing the mounting flange in relation to the well box.
System and method to remove moisture from wood coring
A system and process is provided to deplete or remove moisture from wood coring in boats by piercing 20 a fiberglass outer skin; forming 30 bores or holes 200 in wood coring to form an exposed portion; processing ambient air 35 to create processed air; pumping or displacing 40 processed air into the bores or holes 200; penetrating 50 an exposed portion 80; with a sealant 100; and filling 60 the exposed portion 80 with a sealant 100.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VESSEL IDENTIFICATION
Computer implemented methods, systems, and computer-readable media for predicting a vessel identifier are provided. These include providing, at a memory, a multivariate model and a vessel identification model, receiving, at a processor in communication with the memory, vessel data from one or more sources, determining, at a processor, a dynamic candidate vessel corresponding to the vessel data from the one or more sources, and a candidate vessel corresponding to candidate vessel data in the vessel data and predicting, at the processor, a vessel identifier output of the candidate vessel based on the dynamic candidate vessel, the multivariate model, and the vessel identification model.

Bulbous bow, a sea-going vessel with such bow, and methods of its manufacture
The present invention concerns a bulbous bow for a sea-going vessel, said bow comprising a load-carrying inner structure mounted at the stem of the vessel and an outer shell structure defining the hydrodynamic properties of the bulbous bow, wherein said outer shell structure is provided with a sub-structure for replaceably mounting on the inner structure. The invention further concerns a seagoing vessel comprising such bulbous bow as well as a method of producing a bulbous bow and a method of mounting or replacing a bulbous bow.
DETACHABLE HINGE FOR GLASS FRAME
There is described a hinge for detachably connecting a door or window to a wall or a frame such as a windshield. The hinge comprising a shaft extending longitudinally, further comprising a blocker which is extendable about the shaft. A first socketed member is fixed to the shaft, and a second socketed member comprises a lumen for sliding the shaft therein. The lumen comprises a cavity larger than a remainder of the lumen and which defines an inward edge on which the blocker abuts, thereby retaining the shaft in the lumen. The shaft comprises an inner recess which can house the blocker therein if the inner recess is aligned with the blocker, thereby retracting the blocker from the cavity and releasing the shaft from the second socketed member and allowing the first socketed member and the second socketed member to be separated. This can be useful for detaching a door of a boat windshield, for example.
