An apparatus for determining an optimal route of a maritime ship includes a database configured to store at least one optimization constraint parameter, wherein the at least one optimization constraint parameter includes a constant shaft power of the propel shaft of the maritime ship; and a processor configured to execute a multi-objective route optimization based on the departure location, the destination location, and the at least one optimization constraint parameter to obtain the optimal route of the maritime ship.
SYSTEM AND PERIPHERAL DEVICES FOR A MARINE VESSEL
A system for a marine vessel includes a peripheral device having an actuator configured to move part of the peripheral device between a retracted position and an extended position. A first serial bus is configured to connect the peripheral device to other peripheral devices. A controller is operatively connected to the actuator and is in signal communication with the first serial bus. A sensor is coupled to the controller via a second serial bus. The controller is configured to activate the actuator to move the part of the peripheral device from the extended position to the retracted position and from the retracted position to the extended position in response to information from the sensor.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REDUCING VESSEL FUEL CONSUMPTION
A method for the reduction of ship fuel consumption through the optimisation of vessel draft, speed and trim using historical vessel data. Historical global, online data, is collected for multiple vessel operating parameters associated with its previous voyages. After initial filtering and cleaning of the gathered data, a process of analysing the data to determine the optimum draft, speed and trim for the vessels' given speed is described. The determined optimum draft, speed and trim values are then presented to the Captain or an automatic draft and trim optimisation system for the current draft and trim to be adjusted. This application therefore discloses a method for analysing historical vessel data to provide advice on optimum draft, trim and speed. A method for predicting the achievable fuel savings and recording the fuel savings achieved is also disclosed.
STATUS MONITORING SYSTEM, MARINE VESSEL, AND STATUS MONITORING METHOD
A measuring device measures a status of a device to be monitored stored within a metal hull of a marine vessel. A first communication device is provided outside the hull and transmits a status signal indicating a measurement value of the status of the device to be monitored. A second communication device receives the status signal via the first communication device and outputs information pertaining to the status. The second communication device is configured to be portable.

USAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR SHIP PROPULSION APPARATUS, SHIP PROPULSION APPARATUS, USER TERMINAL DEVICE, AND USAGE RIGHTS MANAGEMENT SERVER
A usage management system includes a use rights management server and a user terminal. A controller of a vessel propulsion apparatus operates a prime mover in a permission mode to permit an output exceeding a predetermined limit output if use permission is provided from the user terminal, and operates the prime mover in a non-permission mode to prohibit an output exceeding the predetermined limit output if use permission is not provided from the user terminal. The user terminal enters an active state to allow issuance of use permission if a use-permission notification is received from the use rights management server, and enters a non-active state to prohibit issuance of use permission if a use-permission notification is not received from the use rights management server. The use rights management server transmits a use-permission notification or a use-non-permission notification in accordance with use rights information concerning the vessel propulsion apparatus.
