SEA CURRENT MEASURING DEVICE FOR SURVIVOR
A sea current measuring device for a survivor is proposed. More particularly, the sea current measuring device for the survivor, utilizing Global Positioning System (GPS), is capable of helping expedite life-saving activities by estimating a survivor's location through analysis of previously observed tidal flow data and measurement of sea current in real time when a person is lost at sea due to various marine accidents such as drifting, overturning, stranding, sinking, and the like of a vessel, which may occur at all times at sea.
Rescue signal transmission system
A ship includes a controller that performs wireless communications with a portable machine possessed by a passenger and a lanyard stop switch. When a lanyard code coupled to the passenger is pulled out, the lanyard stop switch operates to stop an engine of an outboard motor and stop the ship. When the controller detects that the lanyard stop switch operates, that is, detects a possibility that the passenger has fallen overboard, the controller starts wireless communications with the portable machine. The controller determines whether or not a rescue signal needs to be transmitted in accordance with conditions regarding a power density and a frequency of a radio wave of the wireless communications as predetermined conditions for estimating a situation of the passenger.
Underarm float for infants
An underarm float for infants, comprising a main body, the main body is composed of a front part and rear parts, which are connected to each other, wherein rear parts are connected to both ends of the front part, and rear parts at the two ends of front part are oppositely arranged; a first arc groove and second arc grooves are formed at the joint between front part and a rear part, first arc groove is downwards recessed along the upper surface of the front part and the rear part, and the second arc grooves are inwards recessed along the side surface of the front part and the rear part; a shoulder strap is arranged at the joint between the front part and the rear part, and the shoulder strap is located above the first arc groove; and the oppositely arranged rear parts are provided with an elastic cord.
Backboard Inflatable Rescue Device
An inflatable rescue attachment includes at least a U-shaped bladder that is adapted to be secured around the outer perimeter of the head and side portions of a rescue backboard and can be inflated rapidly using an inflation fluid source.
A rigid, inflatable backboard includes a central portion with drop stitch material enclosed in an airtight chamber which, when inflated, provides a flat, rigid surface for securing and transporting a rescuee. The inflatable rescue attachment may be used with a rigid, inflatable backboard, as well as with a standard wood, plastic, or fiberglass rescue backboard.
Shark barrier
A shark barrier that comprises an anchoring assembly having a pair of anchors (9) with a flexible connecting element (11) extending between the anchors. The shark barriers also includes multiple spaced apart buoyant resiliently flexible elongate members (15) that are secured at one end along a length of the connecting element of the anchoring assembly to operatively extend generally upwardly from the connecting element. The buoyant members comprise an elongate flexible spine (32) that extends through a series of tubular members (38).

Raft carrying case
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to a raft carrying case that allows deployment of a life raft while also securing a survival kit for access by the life raft passengers. The case includes two parts, a detachable survival kit and a raft enclosure portion.
Method and apparatus for detecting falling objects
In an aspect, a processing apparatus receives detection signaling indicating a field incursion in a detection field of a LIDAR device mounted to a marine vessel and oriented to detect objects within a free space alongside the marine vessel. The processing apparatus applies plausibility testing to the field incursion, including determining whether parameters derived from the detection signaling are characteristic of a human body falling from the marine vessel through the detection field. The processing apparatus outputs signaling indicating a person overboard event to an alarm or control system onboard the marine vessel, in response to the field incursion passing the plausibility testing.
Large bore pierce pin for an inflator
A pierce pin for an inflator for piercing the frangible seal of a gas cartridge including in combination a shaft having a axial bore forming a tubular member having a tip with a rim and a pair of slots formed across the rim into the tip into the tubular member to an appreciable depth to form a tab, the tab being bent inwardly into the axial bore after formation of the slots.
