MARINE VESSEL
A marine vessel to improve a transmission characteristic of a rescue signal when the marine vessel is capsized includes a transmission source to transmit a rescue signal to a vicinity above a water surface both when the marine vessel is not capsized and when the marine vessel is capsized.
Signal Device for Maritime Distress Rescue and Surveilance Device for Maritime Distress Rescue
A signal device for maritime distress rescue and a surveillance device for maritime distress rescue are provided. The signal device for maritime distress rescue which is carried by a user aboard a vessel may include a first communicator configured to communicate with a surveillance device for maritime distress rescue of the vessel, a first position detector configured to generate first position information of the signal device at a predetermined time interval, and a first controller configured to receive second position information of the surveillance device from the surveillance device at a predetermined time interval and determine whether the first position information is within a safe area of the vessel that is set on the basis of the second position information. Accordingly, when a distress occurs, it is possible to transmit a distress signal without operating a switch while minimizing power consumption of the signal device.
Water safety garment, related apparatus and methods
A water safety garment and apparatus configured to avoid drowning can be configured to permit submergence for a predetermined period of time without inflation. After the predetermined time has passed, the garment or other apparatus can be configured to inflate to help a person wearing the garment float on top of the water to avoid drowning or other potentially harmful condition that may result from being underwater for too long. In some embodiments, a circuit may be utilized to detect the submergence condition of a person wearing the apparatus or garment. Upon a determination that the detected submergence condition has occurred continuously for a pre-determined period of time, an inflation mechanism can be actuated to force the person wearing the apparatus or garment to float to the top of the water.
UNMANNED AERIAL AQUATIC PLATFORM WITH BATTERY MANAGEMENT
A system of connectable aerial vehicles. The system includes a plurality of aerial vehicles that each include a platform, one or more rotors operatively connected to the platform, and a power source that supplies power to the one or more rotors. The plurality of aerial vehicles are configured to operate in air, and operate in water while connected to form a floating platform. The floating platform is configured to support an object with at least a portion of each of the plurality of aerial vehicles configured to form a segment of the floating platform.
Water safety rope and alarm system
A water safety rope and alarm system, comprising a rope mounted adjacent to a waterline of a marine or aquatic structure; a switch connected to the rope and configured to be triggered when the rope is tensioned; and an alarm connected to the switch and configured to produce an alarm signal when the switch is triggered.

Method of verifying a potential detection of a man overboard event and alert verification processing apparatus
A method of verifying a potential detection of a man overboard event recorded as a moving object in a plurality of sequential frames of image data in respect of a duration of a time window comprises receiving (900) ranging track data in respect of the time window. A geometric chord is then identified that intersects a start point and an end point of a path described by a ranging track of the ranging track data. A height of the start point and an angle defined by a convergence of the chord and a vertical are then determined (902, 906). The height and the angle are then compared relative to a boundary line in order to classify (910) the path described by the ranging track in relation to a man overboard event, thereby validating the potential detection.
Airbag compartment enclosure assembly
An airbag compartment enclosure assembly is disclosed, including a compartment containing an uninflated airbag and a closure device fixed proximate an opening of the compartment. The closure device has an open position allowing expansion of the airbag through the opening and a closed position retaining the uninflated airbag. The closure device includes a first flap extending from a first edge of the opening and a second flap extending from a second, opposing edge of the opening. The first and second flaps are folded over one another in the closed position.

Inline aspirator for inflatable assemblies
An inline for an inflatable assembly may comprise a first end defining a primary gas inlet and a second end defining a primary gas outlet. An internal surface may define a flow path extending from the primary gas inlet to the primary gas outlet. An orifice may be located between the first end and the second end. The orifice may be defined, at least partially, by a radial wall extending from the internal surface to the external surface. The orifice may be configured to entrain ambient air with a primary gas flowing from the primary gas inlet to the primary gas outlet.
