TELESCOPING MONOPOD SYSTEM WITH PORTABLE POWER BOX
The present invention generally provides a portable power box for mounting a monopod. The box includes a navigation light power port typical of a marine vessel, such as a bass boat or speed boat. The monopod can then provide power for mobile accessories, such as cameras and smart phones. The monopod may be fitted with extendable, bendable arms for mounting additional cameras or other electronic devices or for providing additional accessories. The box could also include other power outlets, including universal serial bus (USB) or standard power outlet ports.
Apparatus for launch and recovery of a submersible vessel from and to an off-shore site
The invention relates to an apparatus for launch and recovery a submersible vessel from and to an off-shore site. The apparatus comprises an actively operated gimbal coupled between said first end of the launch/recovery cable and the submersible vessel, when the submersible vessel is suspended by the launch/recovery cable. Both the displacement unit and the winch are operated by electrical motors during displacement of the displacement unit and during winding of the launch/recovery cable. Electrical power for the electrical motors is provided by batteries of the apparatus.
Convertible bimini tops for marine vessels
A convertible bimini top for a marine vessel has a cover frame, a support arm for supporting the cover frame above the marine vessel, the support arm having a lower end configured to be pivotably coupled to the marine vessel and an upper end pivotably coupled to the cover frame, a lower actuator coupled to the lower end of the support arm, the lower actuator being configured to pivot the support arm relative to the marine vessel to move the cover frame up and down relative to the marine vessel, and an upper actuator coupled to the upper end of the support arm and to the cover frame, the upper actuator being configured to pivot the cover frame relative to the support arm.

Combined power generation system having power converting apparatus
A first internal phase difference angle calculator for integrating a deviation between a first frequency command value and a frequency obtained by frequency obtaining device to calculate a first internal phase difference angle, a first internal electromotive voltage command value calculator for proportioning and calculating a deviation between a first reactive power command value and a reactive power obtained based on the value measured by first measuring device, and adding a reference voltage to the deviation so as to calculate a first internal electromotive voltage command value, and a first current command value calculator for calculating a command value of an output current from a first power converter based on the first internal phase difference angle, the first internal electromotive voltage command value, and a voltage measured by the voltage measuring device. The apparatus controls the first power converter based on an output from the first current command value calculator.

ENHANCED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTELY DEPLOYING BOAT FENDERS
An enhanced system and various methods for remotely deploying boat fenders from a safe and convenient location. The boat fenders, which are placed along the entire periphery of the boat, may be deployed and retracted with lines attached to winches and motors. A smart phone app may be employed to remind users to deploy boat fenders upon entering known ports, and may also deploy the boat fenders automatically.

Energy transference for controlled shutdown of marine electronic device
Example systems and methods are provided herein for providing for a controlled shutdown of a marine electronic device. Such marine electronic devices include a main unit, a power input in connection with the main unit, and a secondary unit configured to store energy for processing sonar data. The power input is configured to provide energy to the main unit, and the secondary unit is connectable to the main unit to provide stored energy to the main unit. Also included is a processor configured to determine whether the power input is providing energy within a predetermined threshold to the main unit and then, in response to a determination that the power input is not providing energy within the predetermined threshold to the main unit, cause the secondary unit to provide the stored energy to the main unit.
Offshore drilling vessel with an external cable connection and method therefor
An offshore drilling vessel includes a hull and at least one opening in the hull arranged to receive an end of at least one submersible cable. The offshore drilling vessel also comprises a cable capture mechanism configured to lift the end of the at least one submersible cable through the at least one opening from a submersed position to a raised position. A cable connector is configured to couple to the end of the at least one submersible cable when the end of the at least one submersible cable is in the raised position such that the offshore drilling vessel comprises an external data and/or power connection via the submersible cable.
