Airship launch from a cargo airship with a payload return vehicle
A method for launch of an airship includes connecting a cargo airship to a second airship that is not positively buoyant at the launch site, launching the cargo airship, transferring lifting gas from the cargo airship to the second airship where said lifting gas is carried by the cargo airship while aloft; and releasing the second airship from the cargo airship. A releasable payload return vehicle, wherein the payload return vehicle generates aerodynamic forces while it is mated to the cargo airship.

AERIAL LAUNCH AND/OR RECOVERY FOR UNMANNED AIRCRAFT, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Aerial launch and/or recovery for unmanned aircraft, and associated systems and methods. A representative unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) comprises an airframe, a plurality of rotors, and a capture line. The rotors are coupled to the airframe and configured to support the UAV in hover. The capture line is carried by the UAV and is operatively coupled to an immersible anchor. The immersible anchor is configured to be immersed within a body of water during a capture operation involving the capture line.

LOW COST ROCKET
A low-cost rocket includes an atmospheric flight part and an exo-atmospheric flight part, and uses the atmospheric air part to ascend into the atmosphere through the use of propellers for the atmospheric portion of the flight. The atmospheric flight part separates from the exo-atmospheric flight part in the vicinity of the exo-atmosphere and the exo-atmospheric rocket is launched thereupon. The atmospheric flight part descends through the atmosphere using autorotation of the propellers and, if necessary, a soft landing can be affected by controlling the pitch of the propellers just prior to landing.
CHARGE RELATED PROCESSING FOR A PERSONAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM WITH REMOVABLE BATTERY
A system includes a first battery in a vehicle. The vehicle is capable of being coupled at least temporarily with a second, removable battery and is powered by at least one of the first or the second battery. The system also includes a controller in the vehicle which is configured to estimate an amount of travel-related charge based at least in part on a pickup and drop off location. It is decided whether to charge the first battery using the second battery based at least in part on the amount of travel-related charge and a measured amount of stored charge in the second battery. If it is decided to do so, the first battery is charged using the second battery.
Display system of an aircraft, able to display a localization marking of a zone of location of an approach light ramp and related method
A display system of an aircraft, able to display a localization marking of a zone of location of an approach light ramp and related method are provided. The display system includes a display unit and an assembly generating a display on the display unit. The display generator is able to display, on approach to a landing strip, a localization marking of a presence zone of an approach light ramp toward the landing strip.
Magnetic recovery systems and magnetic docking mechanisms for fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles
Example magnetic recovery systems and magnetic docking mechanisms for fixed-wing UAVs are disclosed herein. An example capture mechanism for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes a first member attached to a capture vehicle, the first member having a first portion having a first shape and a magnetic portion; and a second member attached to the UAV, the second member having a second portion having a second shape, wherein the first member and the second member mutually self-align responsive to incidental contact of the first shape and the second shape, and the magnetic portion is to capture the second member.
