A latch or connector system having a latch housing, a first latching component, a second latching component, and a handle. The first and second latching components are movably mounted to the latch housing, and movable respective latched and unlatched positions. The handle is movably mounted to the latch housing and operatively associated with the first latching component and the second latching component. The handle is movable from a closed handle position to an open handle position to cause the first latching component and the second latching component to move from their respective latched positions to their respective unlatched positions, and the handle is movable from the open handle position to the closed handle position only when the first latching component and the second latching component are in their respective latched positions.

AIRCRAFT ACOUSTIC PANEL

An acoustic supercell may comprise a facesheet having a plurality of perforations, a backplate parallel to the facesheet, a cell wall contacting the facesheet and the back plate, and a periodic structure. The supercell may be custom-tailored to meet specific acoustic wavelength absorption targets. The custom-tailored supercell may be arranged with a plurality of other custom-tailored supercells into an acoustic panel.

An aircraft has a seat that has at least one of (1) a nonplanar back surface profile and a touch sensitive film display system carried by the seat and configured to conform to the nonplanar back surface profile and (2) a privacy screen selectively stowed within an interior of the seat. An aircraft has a pilot seat, a passenger seat disposed aft relative to the pilot seat, and a holographic display system configured to project a holographic image in a space between the pilot seat and the passenger seat.

Aircraft with crew quarters

An aircraft is disclosed with a fuselage including a cabin delimited by a cabin floor and having crew quarters. The crew quarters include an upper portion above a floor plane defined by the cabin floor and a lower portion beneath the floor plane. The crew quarters include a seat adjustable between a sitting configuration and a berthing configuration. A method of transitioning a crew member of an aircraft to a berthing configuration in a crew quarters is also disclosed.

AIRCRAFT CABIN SYSTEM CONTROL BY GESTURES WITHIN TASK ENVELOPES
20220363393 · 2022-11-17 · ·

A control system for an aircraft cabin includes a first sensor, a second sensor, and a processor. The first and second sensors are configured to detect communicative gestures of a subject and are oriented to detect the communicative gestures in first and second cabin volumes, respectively. The second cabin volume at least partially overlaps the first cabin volume. The processor is configured to: identify a control volume defined by an overlap between the first and second cabin volumes; define a task envelope as a sub-set of the control volume in which the subject may perform the communicative gestures; disregard communicative gestures outside of the task envelope; compare an identified gesture of the communicative gestures performed inside the task envelope with a plurality of stored gestures; and generate a control task to command cabin devices in response to a match between the identified gesture one of the stored gestures.

Aircraft trolley retention device

An aircraft trolley retention device may include a retention latch with a shaft including a first component of an interlocking assembly and a sleeve including a second component of the interlocking assembly and configured to receive the shaft, and an interlocking assembly. The retention latch may be configured to actuate between a closed position and an open position. The interlocking assembly may be configured to guide the retention latch during the actuation between the closed position and the open position. The retention latch may be configured to retain an aircraft trolley within an aircraft trolley bay when the retention latch is in the closed position. A portion of the retention latch may be configured to be positioned in front of a striker plate corresponding to a handle of an aircraft trolley bay door of the aircraft trolley bay when the retention latch is in the open position.

Introduced here are technologies for examining an image of an airline passenger, while the passenger is onboard. The image may be examined for abnormalities, the passenger's mood, and/or the passenger's expression. The image analysis may be supplemented by data from a suite of sensors such as heart rate monitors, accelerometers, gyroscopes, and the like. The image and the sensor data are then analyzed to detect abnormalities, identify related recommendations, and suggest products and services offered onboard or at the destination that are related to the abnormalities and recommendations. The general purpose is to improve an airline passenger's travel experience while on board the flight.
