AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEM
A filter assembly including a plurality of filter modules, wherein each filter module in the plurality of filter modules includes a frame, a filtration element coupled within the frame, and at least one mating feature. The at least one mating feature of each filter module is configured for selective engagement with the at least one mating feature of another filter module such that the plurality of filter modules are coupled together in a serial arrangement.
SOFTWARE CONTROLLED AIR FLOW MANAGEMENT
A system comprises an environmental control system (ECS) having a plurality of ducts configured to convey a flow of air into an interior space through the plurality of ducts. A plurality of valves are disposed in the plurality of ducts to control the flow of air through a respective duct into the interior space. A plurality of sensors are disposed in the interior space configured to sense a passenger condition.
SANITIZING SYSTEM
A sanitizing system includes a plurality of ultraviolet (UV) lamps mounted at various locations within an internal cabin of a vehicle. The UV lamps are configured to receive electrical power from a power source onboard the vehicle and to emit UV light into the internal cabin on a continuous basis during a trip of the vehicle. The UV lamps are positioned such that the emitted UV light disinfects air within the internal cabin.
Rupture constraint mechanism
Apparatus and system for containing a rupture of a duct. The apparatus includes an air-permeable sheet, such as a wide-weave fiberglass sheet. The air-permeable sheet includes a strap arranged on a first side of the sheet such that it forms diamond-shaped patterns along a longitudinal axis. The strap can be made of a tight-weave fiberglass. Laterally-spaced corners of the diamond-shaped patterns include connection members that can be engaged to affix the strap and the air-permeable sheet around a duct. Various aspects include an air-impermeable air barrier surrounding the wide-weave fiberglass sheet and strap. The air barrier can include a window that directs air from a ruptured duct. Various aspects can be used on a bleed-air duct of an aircraft. The window of the air barrier can be aimed at a temperature sensor. A valve can close the bleed-air duct if the temperature sensor detects a high temperature leak.
Combined automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast and carbon monoxide detecting device
A combined automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) and carbon monoxide (CO) detecting device includes an ADS-B circuitry configured to receive an ADS-B transmission, a CO sensor configured to obtain a CO reading for ambient air in an aircraft cabin, a processor configured to generate a data stream combining the ADS-B transmission and the CO reading, and a wireless communication circuitry configured to provide the data stream to at least one aircraft crew computing device.
Systems and Methods of Sensing Temperature of Air in a Passenger Area of a Fuselage
An example temperature sensing device includes an air distribution inlet through which primary air is blown into via an environmental control system, a cabin air inlet through which secondary air enters from a passenger area of a fuselage and the cabin air inlet is coupled to the air distribution inlet through a duct and the secondary air is passively drawn into the cabin air inlet and to the duct due to a pressure difference present in the duct, and a temperature sensor coupled to the duct and positioned downstream of the cabin air inlet along an airflow path of the secondary air so as to be exposed to the secondary air drawn in through the cabin air inlet and flowing through the duct.
PASSENGER AIR SHIELD
Embodiments are directed toward an air directing device that can interface with an aircraft to form an air curtain. The air directing device can include a housing with one or more inlets and one or more outlets. An engagement component can engage the air directing device with a PSU of an aircraft. The air directing device can receive air from the PSU through the inlet and direct the air to the outlets. The outlets can include nozzles that output the air curtain.
HIGH TEMPERATURE CLAMP FOR A SENSING ASSEMBLY
A sensing assembly comprising includes one or more sensing elements formed as a tube. The sensing assembly also includes one or more clamps to secure the one or more sensing elements. Each of the one or more clamps includes a recess in which each of the one or more sensing elements is seated.
INFLATABLE ISOLATION WALLS FOR AIRCRAFT CABINS
A partition for dividing a portion of an aircraft including at least a first inflatable cavity defined by a plurality of material sheets, and a nozzle configured to provide fluidic access to the first inflatable cavity, wherein the nozzle is configured to attach to an aircraft air vent.
