Apparel item with integrated parachute structure
11089824 · 2021-08-17 · ·

Aspects herein provide for an apparel item having an integrated parachute structure and a set of intake ducts. The parachute structure is configured to transition from a first slack state to a second inflated state subsequent to air entering the set of intake ducts incident to ground locomotion of the wearer thereby increasing air resistance to wearer movement.

UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE

An unmanned aerial vehicle according to the present invention include: a main body; plural arms as supports that extend from the main body and support rotors; cloth-like parts held in a standby state in which the cloth-like parts are folded at positions close to the main body; and deployment mechanisms that are provided in the arms and each configured to move a portion of the cloth-like part in a direction away from the main body so that the cloth-like part is switched from the standby state to a deployed state in which the cloth-like part is spread between the arms in plan view.

FLYING APPARATUS

To improve safety during a fall of a flying apparatus, a flying apparatus (1) according to a representative embodiment of the present application includes a body unit (2), a lift-force generating part (3) that is connected to the body unit and generates a lift force, a flight control part (14) that controls the lift-force generating part, an abnormality detecting part (15) that detects an abnormality during flight, a parachute device (4) including a parachute (41, 41A) and a parachute accommodating part (42) that accommodates the parachute, and a fall control part (16) that ejects the parachute from the parachute accommodating part according to the detection of the abnormality by the abnormality detecting part.

CONTAINER FOR AERIAL DELIVERY OF GOODS

A container for dropping from an aerial vehicle comprises a bottom section and a plurality of side walls. Wings are connected to the upper edges of the side walls to allow pivoting of the wing between a passive position, in which the wing extends along the corresponding side wall, and a deployed position, in which the wing extends substantially transversely relative to the corresponding side wall. Reinforcing units increase the bending stiffness of the wings. Retaining units limit pivoting of the wings beyond the deployed position.

Parachute

A conventional parachute requires a velocity pressure during descent in order to open the parachute. As a result, a minimum descent distance and time are required from the beginning to the end of the parachute opening operation and use at low altitude has to be restricted. In order to remedy this issue, an airtight tube and a compressed gas device are provided together in a section of the parachute having the largest annular shape when the parachute has been opened. The tube is annularly expanded by the pressure of the gas, and the parachute is forcibly deployed and opened.
