A device for the decontamination of materiel, notably an aircraft such as a military helicopter, using a nuclear, biological and/or chemical decontaminant. The device includes a protective cover that can be adapted to the shape of the materiel, able to form a fluid tight decontamination tunnel around the materiel; at least one decontamination module able to eliminate the contamination from the materiel arranged inside the tunnel formed by the protective cover; an air-blowing module able to be arranged at the entrance to the tunnel formed by the protective cover in order to dispatch air into the said tunnel; and a filtration module able to be positioned at the exit from the tunnel formed by the protective cover in order to destroy contaminated air vapours and/or to recover the decontaminant at the exit from the said tunnel.

UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEM KIOSK

A kiosk for use an unmanned aerial system (UAS) delivery system is disclosed. In one embodiment, the kiosk includes an enclosure comprising at least one vertical wall having a secured entrance therethrough to prevent unauthorized persons from entering the enclosure, wherein an external appearance of the enclosure corresponds to a location of the kiosk; a landing zone for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the UAS located within the enclosure, the landing zone comprising infrastructure from which the UAV can take off and on which the UAV can land; sensors for detecting an environment of at least one of the kiosk and the enclosure; and a guidance system for providing signals to the UAV to guide the UAV into the enclosure and onto the landing zone.

Landing structure for an unmanned aerial vehicle

A system for landing an unmanned aerial vehicle has an unmanned aerial vehicle and a ground-based platform. A guide structure for receiving the unmanned aerial vehicle is mounted on the ground base platform. The guide structure has an inner diameter greater than a smallest outer diameter of the unmanned aerial vehicle landing gear and less than the largest outer diameter of the unmanned aerial vehicle landing gear.

Method and system for aircraft taxi strike alerting

Apparatus and associated methods relate to ranging object(s) nearby an aircraft using triangulation. A light projector mounted at a projector location on the aircraft projects pulses of polarized light onto the scene external to the aircraft. The projected pulses of polarized light are polarized in a first polarization state. A camera mounted at a camera location on the aircraft has a shutter synchronized to the projector output pulse and receives a portion of the projected pulses of polarized light reflected by the object(s) in the scene and polarized at a second polarization state orthogonal to the first polarization state. Location(s) and/or range(s) of the object(s) is calculated, based on the projector location, the camera location, and pixel location(s) upon which the portion of light is imaged.
