WINCH DELIVERY SYSTEM
The present specification provides a device and method for controlling a winch parcel delivery system through an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone. The example apparatus contemplates the use of a winch that will attach to a hook with active and passive release mechanisms through a winch line. The apparatus is enabled to attach to a parachute recovery system. The apparatus can detect when the ground has been reached to enable safe delivery of parcels. The apparatus can removably attach to various types of drones.

HEIGHT DEPENDENT TRANSMISSION FROM AERIAL WIRELESS DEVICES
A method, network node and aerial wireless device (AWD) for height based out of band emission control of the AWD are disclosed. A network node configured to communicate with an AWD is provided. According to one aspect, a network node is configured to signal emission control parameter information for modifying a transmission power of the AWD based at least in part on a height of the wireless device.

System and method for gimbal lock avoidance in an aircraft
A rotorcraft is described and includes an inertial measurement unit (“IMU”) sensor mounted to the rotorcraft, the IMU sensor oriented relative to the rotorcraft such that a roll attitude of the rotorcraft occurs about a Z-axis and has a range of ±90 degrees, a pitch attitude of the rotorcraft occurs about an X-axis and has a range of ±180 degrees, and a yaw attitude of the rotorcraft occurs about a Y-axis and has a range of ±180 degrees.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHOTOPHORETIC PROPULSION FOR FLIGHT
Systems and methods for achieving levitation via a photophoretic effect are provided. In certain embodiments, a structure of ultralight materials is provided, for example a BoPET film and carbon nanotubes and has a top and bottom side, made of two separate materials. When the bottom side is illuminated by light at certain intensity, it can result in an upward lift force being applied to the entire structure, causing the structure to levitate.
INSURANCE UNDERWRITING AND RE-UNDERWRITING IMPLEMENTING UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAVS)
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) may facilitate insurance-related tasks. UAVs may actively be dispatched to an area surrounding a property, and collect data related to property. A location for an inspection of a property to be conducted by a UAV may be received, and one or more images depicting a view of the location may be displayed via a user interface. Additionally, a geofence boundary may be determined based on an area corresponding to a property boundary, where the geofence boundary represents a geospatial boundary in which to limit flight of the UAV. Furthermore, a navigation route may be determined which corresponds to the geofence boundary for inspection of the property by the UAV, the navigation route having waypoints, each waypoint indicating a location for the UAV to obtain drone data. The UAV may be directed around the property using the determined navigation route.

Unmanned aerial vehicle
A hybrid aerial vehicle (HAV) comprising: a fuselage of the HAV; a first mechanism within the fuselage for accepting a plurality of wings of the HAV, the first mechanism allowing coordinated contraction of the plurality of wings essentially into the fuselage such that tips of the wings are position in proximity of the fuselage and coordinated extension of the wings such that tips of each wing are positioned away from the fuselage; a first wing extending from the port side of the fuselage and connected to the first mechanism; a second wing extending from the starboard side of the fuselage and connected to the first mechanism; a second mechanism placed within the fuselage in proximity to its front end, the second mechanism allowing motion of propellers of the HAV affixed there to between a first plain and a second plain; a first set of propellers affixed at the port side of the fuselage to the second mechanism; a second set of propellers affixed at the starboard side of the fuselage to the second mechanism; a third mechanism placed within the fuselage in proximity to its rear end, the third mechanism allowing motion of propellers of the HAV affixed there to between a first plain and a second plain, and further placing the propellers affixed thereto to be at a vertical displacement with respect to the propellers affixed to the second mechanism; a third set of propellers affixed at the port side of the fuselage to the third mechanism; and a fourth set of propellers affixed at the starboard side of the fuselage to the third mechanism.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DRONE LAND CONDITION SURVEILLANCE
A method for performing property surveillance via an unmanned aerial vehicle is provided. Surveillance of one or more properties via an unmanned aerial vehicle is obtained. A geofence that determines boundaries of one of the properties is created using the surveillance. Surveillance outside the geofence for the property is blurred. The blurred surveillance is provided to an owner of that property.
