In this regard, conveying the intent includes composing a message that indicates the intent of the aircraft to execute the procedure. The message is applied to a text-to-speech engine to convert the message to a corresponding verbal message in which the intent of the aircraft is conveyed. The corresponding verbal message is then sent over the radio channel assigned for voice communication in the airspace system.

The method includes determining guidance modes of the UAV based on the instructions, and engaging the guidance modes in which the UAV is caused to perform the procedures to carry out the flight. The guidance modes indicate procedures of the UAV, the guidance modes including lateral flight modes and vertical flight modes, that are subject to rules defined by the ANSP for travel through the airspace system under instrument flight rules (IFR), and the lateral flight modes and the vertical flight modes are separate and independent from one another.

The rescue device receives the distress signal and takes off from an initial position of the vehicle to a target position in response to the distress signal. Once the rescue device reaches the target position, the rescue device performs a second action for assistance.

The use of a replaceable, marked and hermetically sealed liquid subsystem in the spray device of the invention, along with an integrated self-diagnosis system, using compressed gas energy and a pressure regulator instead of standard pumps, reduces the weight of the spraying device, improves spraying accuracy, ensures personnel safety and accounting of the accumulated life resource of the main units of spraying devices. All this in combination enables to create fully automated spraying systems.

We describe an aircraft design, which is capable of vertical takeoff and landing and also high-speed cruise on a fixed wing. The aircraft comprises a fuselage with a probe-deployment mechanism, which deploys a sample-gathering probe, located at a front end of the fuselage. A main wing is coupled to a middle section of the fuselage, wherein a right motor and right propeller are coupled to a right side of the main wing, and a left motor and left propeller are coupled to a left side of the main wing. The right and left propellers are angled with respect to the fuselage enabling the aircraft to pitch up to a vertical-takeoff mode and pitch down a horizontal-cruising mode. A pitch motor and pitch propeller are located at the rear end of the fuselage, wherein the pitch propeller is angled to provide substantially vertical thrust to control a pitch of the fuselage.
