PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR CARRIER SHIPPING AND LONGER STORAGE OF HELIUM PARTY BALLOONS
A method that protects helium balloons, which are shipped via shipping routes that expose the balloons to elevated temperatures that cause the balloons to lose helium gas at increased rates, from such effects includes providing a shipping box; lining the shipping box with a metalized sheet that provides insulation against heat conduction; placing at least one balloon in the lined shipping box; surrounding the at least one balloon with the metalized sheet from all sides thereof; closing the box; and shipping the box to a customer, whereby the balloons are rendered less susceptible to the elevated temperatures or reduced ambient pressures while travelling over the shipping routes.
Hole punching and spindle stuffing after bagger
Embodiments are directed to methods, systems and packages for packaging the coreless paper products and accessory products. Embodiments include receiving paper products, receiving a container used for packaging the paper products, and packaging the paper products into the container. Embodiments also include inserting accessory products into a cavity formed by the paper products packaged in the container, and applying a label on the container to cover the cavity where the accessory products are inserted.

Packaging method used in bag-feeding and packaging apparatus, and the bag-feeding and packaging apparatus
[Problem] Providing a packaging method used in a bag-feeding and packaging apparatus, which can realize speed-up of the bag-feeding and packaging apparatus without limitation of movement acceleration due to the spilling or scattering of an article during movement and which can realize a larger amount of packaging in a short time, and the bag-feeding and packaging apparatus implementing the packaging method. [Overcoming Means] In the packaging method used in a bag-feeding and packaging apparatus P in accordance with the present invention, packaging processes are performed while a packaging bag F is intermittently moved to packaging stations 1 to 9 together with a mover 32, so that an article is packaged, and the packaging stations 1 to 9 include an article (a fluid) filling station 5 where an article filling process of filling the packaging bag with the article is performed. In the article filling station 5, a bag mouth of the packaging bag F is closed before movement to a subsequent packaging station (a steam deaeration/seal part preheating station) 6 after the article filling process has been performed.

Container packing system
A method for loading boxes in containers is provided. Characteristics of a set of containers having substantially equal dimensions are obtained. Characteristics of a plurality of boxes to be packed into one or more of the set of containers are obtained. A set of layer descriptors is created, each layer descriptor including a layer thickness, identifiers of boxes assigned to the layer, and a description of an arrangement of the boxes in the layer. Each of the boxes is assigned to a single layer descriptor. An optimized assignment of the layer descriptors to containers is determined. An ordered list of box loading instructions for each container is generated. The boxes are loaded in their assigned containers according to the ordered list for the container.
AUTOMATED RETAIL SUPPLY CHAIN AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A system and method are disclosed for supplying one or more goods to a physical store location. The goods may be received at a distribution center (DC). At the DC, the goods may be decanted from their shipping containers into one or more sub-totes, which are contained within one or more product totes. The sub-totes may be transferred from the one or more product totes to one or more order totes based on a velocity of movement of the plurality of goods at the physical store location.
Automated elevator maintenance mode initiation
An illustrative example elevator system includes at least one elevator car that is moveable along a hoistway. An elevator controller is configured to respond to a communication from a portable device indicating a desire for the at least one elevator car to be placed in a maintenance mode and indicating a location of desired hoistway access. The controller automatically moves the elevator car to a determined positon based on the communication. That position corresponds to the location of the desired hoistway access. The controller performs at least one automated procedure to place the elevator car in the maintenance mode. The controller provides an indication to the portable device that the elevator car is in the determined position and that the automated procedure has been completed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ERECTING AND FILLING A FOLDING BOX
For the purpose of erecting and filling a folding box which has closure flaps on two opposite sides, the folding box is removed from a store and erected such that the closure flaps are arranged on its upper side and its underside. The lower closure flaps are folded over and the underside of the folding box is thus closed, whereupon products are introduced into the folding box. Then, the upper closure flaps are folded over, as a result of which the upper side of the folding box is closed. Thereafter, both the upper closure flaps and the lower closure flaps are fixed in their closed position in a downstream fixing apparatus.
Cutting devices for packaging systems with clippers and related clipper assemblies
Clipper assemblies include a clipper body with a die support holding at least one clip die; and a knife cylinder with a downwardly extending rod, the knife cylinder attached to the clipper body above the clip die. The clipper assemblies also include a knife plate having a body with a perimeter with a first portion pivotably attached to the rod and a second portion pivotably attached to the clipper body below the clip die. The knife plate holds a knife which extends outward from a side of the knife plate a distance between about 1-2 inches, at an angle of between 80-110 degrees (measured from a line drawn parallel to the side from which the knife extends outward from). In operation, the knife is configured to either: (a) move upward to cut respective clipped packages or (b) move downward to cut respective clipped packages.
