IMPROVEMENTS TO PACKAGING MATERIAL
The invention relates to the packaging of one or more articles in a packaging sheet material which is moveable from a first condition to a second, expanded, condition to improve the packaging effect of the sheet material. In accordance with the invention the sheet material includes a first portion with apertures which can be moved to an open position to create the second, expanded, condition and at least one, but typically a plurality of spaced apart, second portions which have no apertures, or a different shape and/or pattern of apertures than the apertures of the first portion, so as to form a surface of the said second portion more suitable for the application of a label and/or indications thereon when the sheet material is in the second expanded condition.
Method for making an airtight wrapper and airtight wrapper thus obtained
An airtight wrapper having an assembly wrapped by a wrapping sheet made of a weldable material creating a group of smoking articles obtained by: positioning the folded wrapping sheet to contact walls, front rear and head wall of the assembly, with flaps protruding beyond bottom and lateral walls; welding lower and upper flaps, and defining a transverse edge; folding the welded transverse edge rotating it by 180° toward the front wall; folding the upper and lower transverse flaps; folding the upper and lower transverse flaps; folding the rear and front longitudinal flaps, and partly also the transverse edge, toward the lower lateral walls, overlapping one on top of the other above the transverse flaps, and finally welding them to seal the airtight wrapper.
Cardboard container for active packaging of fresh fruit and vegetables and production method of same
This invention is, in general, related to the technological field of packaging of vegetable products, such as whole fresh fruits and vegetables that tend to have certain surface microbial load. Specifically, this invention relates to a new cardboard packaging which is characterised by having an antimicrobial active coating based on a polymeric compound in combination with essential oils forming inclusion complexes with cyclodextrins. Vapours of essential oils are emitted from the cardboard as sufficiently high relative humidities are reached in the vicinity of this coating which is next to the packed product, and these vapours have an antimicrobial action against fungi, yeasts and bacteria, which both spoil product quality and are pathogenic for consumers. This new packaging significantly achieves increasing food safety and the shelf life of foods packed therein.
Wrapping mechanism protection device for bale wrapping apparatus
A wrapping mechanism protection device which is adapted and configured to prevent a dispensed wrapping film to interface with crop debris of hay, straw, corn straw, etc. extending from a formed bale when the bale is being ready to be wrapped is disclosed. More particularly, the present disclosure describes a film-carrying device which comprises a film-carrying main frame, a spool holder rotatably mounted on the film-carrying main frame for mounting a spool of the wrapping film thereon, and a wrapping mechanism protection device extending from the film-carrying main frame and being configured to prevent the bale received in the frame to interface with the wrapping film when the bale is being wrapped.
CONTAINMENT FORCE-BASED WRAPPING
Control of a wrapping apparatus is facilitated by enabling an operator to input a load containment force requirement and/or a minimum number of layers of packaging material to be applied to a load, with a wrap control system automatically determining wrap force and other parameters required to meet user input requirements and/or parameters to minimize the expertise required of an operator and to provide more consistent and reliable wrapping of loads. In addition, a wrapping apparatus may be controlled to apply at least a minimum number of layers of packaging material to a load throughout a contiguous region thereof.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FORMING A CONTAINER BY FOLDING
The present invention relates to the forming of a container by folding a cardboard sheet with at least vertical flaps, using a forming device and a forming method. Such a device comprises an upstream conveyor driving said cardboard sheet in a direction of travel, a downstream conveyor, means for folding the vertical flaps, said folding means being situated symmetrically about said upstream conveyor, and is characterized in that, on each side, said folding means comprise a pair of downstream and upstream pushers forming a gripper, said pushers being actuated jointly from an open position toward a closed position of folding said corresponding vertical flaps, a support for each gripper, said support being mobile in said direction of travel.
CONTINUOUS UNLOADING AND PACKAGING SYSTEM OF PHARMACEUTICAL ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
A high throughput, efficient, and simplified unloading and packaging systems and methods for large-scale production of pharmaceutical units (104) using additive manufacturing. The systems and methods may unload, inspect, package, and trace pharmaceutical units, produced by an additive manufacturing system (900), that are not damaged or deformed. The unloading and packaging system can include one or more unloading and packaging devices (100). The unloading and packaging device can include a modular configuration having modules. Individual modules to be arranged in any relative order, at any location, and with any number in the unloading and packaging device. The flexibility of the modular configuration allows one or more modules to be removed or added at any given time due to, e.g., expansion, downsizing, module repair, module upgrades, etc. High throughput can be achieved by operating unloading and packaging devices independently.

Method and apparatus for securing a load to a pallet with a roped film web
An apparatus and method for wrapping a palletized load are provided. The apparatus preferably includes a film dispenser for dispensing a film web, at least one guide rollers configured to engage the width of the film web, and at least one roping element. The at least one roping element may be a cable rolling roper configured to roll a portion of the film web into a rolled cable of film. The apparatus may also include means for providing relative rotation between the load and the dispenser to wrap a roped portion of the film web around a base of the load/top portion of a pallet supporting the load.
