Described herein is a package (10) for a foodstuff product, in particular a confectionery product, comprising a wrapping sheet (2) wrapped around said product (P) so as to enclose it within a cavity (C) delimited by said sheet and so as to remain adherent to the outer surface of said product (P).
The package is characterized in that it envisages a sealing portion (4), which is folded adherent to the portion of the sheet that defines the inner cavity (C) and which is provided with a point (6) of facilitated opening.

A system and method utilizing a robotic arm to prepare a food product such as a meat for cooking and then subsequently assembling a sandwich from the cooked meat is disclosed. In addition, the robotic arm may also be used to wrap the assembled sandwich in a wrapper. The system may utilize a wire basket with a basket adapter, or handle, to allow the robotic arm to easily maneuver the basket and also utilize a wrapping assist device to wrap a wrapper around the assembled sandwich.

METHODS FOR PACKAGING AND PRESERVING CUT MUSHROOM PRODUCTS
Methods and packages are provided for storing and preserving a cut mushroom product such as mushroom crumble or cut mushroom, preferably so as to extend shelf life of the same. In one optional method, a cut mushroom product is placed in a product containing space (14) of a storage container (10) atop a platform of a support structure. The storage container includes an internal compartment (12) having the product containing space. The support structure defines the platform for supporting the cut mushroom product. The internal compartment further includes a reservoir (18), configured to retain liquid, below the platform. The platform and/or support structure are configured to direct liquid exuded from the cut mushroom product to the reservoir. Optionally, the reservoir comprises an absorbent material (20) for absorbing liquid in the reservoir.

The present invention relates to an automatic package device, which may include a rack and a power control box provided on the rack. The cutter blade transportation device is provided on the rack along the X axis direction. Below the cutter blade transportation device and inside the rack, lower film feeding device is provided. At the rear side of the rack, the upper film feeding device is provided. At the front end of the cutter blade transportation device and on the rack are provided a blade feeding rail and cutter blade carrying device cooperating with each other. At the rear end of the cutter blade transportation device is provided a film sealing device which cooperates with the upper film feeding device and lower film feeding device. At the rear end of the film sealing device and on the rack is provided a dragging device fitting the blade strip. At the back side of the dragging device is provided a transverse cutting device fitting the blade strip. The present invention may achieve automatic feeding by the cutter blade carrying device. The dragging device may extend the upper and lower film material back and forth repeatedly. And the hot-pressing process may be accomplished by the film sealing device. The present invention may automatically seal the blades and the cutting device may separate the product one by one. At last the packaging process may be accomplished with high degree of automation and greatly improve production efficiency.

Disclosed is a spoonable smoothie with fibrous, non-chalky, non-gritty texture. The spoonable smoothie has more than 34% by weight of a combination of fruit and vegetable sources, a texturant, a protein source, a vitamin source, and a mineral source. In some embodiments, the spoonable smoothie may be produced via high-pressure processing or thermal processing. In some embodiments in which high-pressure processing is employed, acid whey may be used to help obtain the non-chalky, non-gritty texture. In other embodiments in which thermal processing is employed, order of ingredients may be used to help obtain the non-chalky, non-gritty texture. In those thermally processed embodiments, the texturant and the protein source may be separately hydrated to control the competition for water absorption between the texturant and the protein source.
