A working line is for fluidic or fluid products contained in pre-dosed containers. The container includes a cover and/or lid for closing the container. The working line includes a first manipulation station having a manipulator to manipulate the cover and/or lid to remove the cover and/or lid from the container to open the container. A working station carries out at least one operation on the fluid product contained in the container after the removal of the cover and/or lid from the container. A second manipulation station includes a manipulator to manipulate the cover and/or lid to associate the cover and/or lid with the container to close the container. A transportation system moves the pre-dosed containers among different stations. The working station is located between the first manipulation station and the second manipulation station. The manipulator manipulates covers and/or lids associable with the container through joint-type and/or screw-type devices.

Assembly and apparatus for filling cartridges with a liquid
11612189 · 2023-03-28 · ·

An assembly of the present invention is designed specifically for filling vaporizer cartridges, pods, and other personal vaporizer systems with high viscosity extracts (oils). The assembly includes three main components such as the syringe station, the control box, and foot pedal. The control box includes the software to operate the assembly. The control box has controls for temperature and air pressure (for purging the vessel). The foot pedal operates the syringe for filling cartridges. The syringe station consists of a heated vessel, and a heated pneumatically operated syringe. The syringe system can be used in this configuration and can also be used as part of a larger, fully automated filling machine without limiting the scope of the present invention. The syringe system works well with viscous liquids.

Articles and methods for forming liquid films on surfaces, in devices incorporating the same

Embodiments described herein relate to articles and methods for forming liquid surface films on the interior surfaces of containers for holding one or more products comprising one or more Bingham plastic materials. Bingham plastic materials behave as a solid under no or low shear stress, and behave as viscous liquids when an applied shear stress exceeds a yield stress. In some embodiments, a container for containing a product includes an interior surface and a liquid disposed on the interior surface. Before introduction of a product into a container, the liquid may be surrounded by air. The liquid-air interface in contact with the interior surface makes a contact angle, θ.sub.os(a), with respect to the interior surface of the container, of about 0°. After a product has been introduced to the container, the liquid is at least partially covered by the product. The liquid-product interface in contact with the interior surface, makes a contact angle, θ.sub.os(p), with respect to the interior surface, of less about 60°. The subscript “o” denotes the liquid, subscript “s” denotes the interior surface, subscript “a” denotes air, and subscript “p” denotes a product. In some embodiments, the contact angle θ.sub.os(p) can be less than about 50°, less than about 40°, or less than about 30°.

DOSER MECHANISMS
20230071560 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A doser mechanism includes a cylindrical shell, an auger conveyor, and a check valve. The cylindrical shell includes a hollow cylinder and an end plate. The hollow cylinder at least partially defines an internal enclosure extending between first and second ends of the hollow cylinder, a first opening at the first end, and a second opening through a thickness of the hollow cylinder. The end plate covers the second end. The auger conveyor includes an auger at least partially extending through the internal enclosure through the first end. The check valve has a valve member configured to selectively cover the second opening. The check valve may cause the valve member move between a rest position and an open position to cover or expose the second opening in response to a magnitude of a force applied to the valve member from the internal enclosure through the second opening.
