Food product handling device
A food product handling device is provided. The food product handling device can include a movable loading head having a plurality of rails and a vacuum system operatively associated with the head. In addition, a plurality of suction devices carried by the head and configured to pick up and transport a food product as the head is moved can be provided. A plurality of mounting blocks can be slidably coupled to the rails where at least one suction device is coupled to each mounting block. An actuating device can be operatively associated with the mounting blocks such that each mounting block is configured to slide between a first position and a second position.
Sample Rack Conveying Apparatus and Automated Analysis System
This sample rack conveying apparatus is provided with a pusher unit, a linear motion guide, and a conveyance drive mechanism. The pusher unit has a base portion, a moving member, and a base-side guide. The base portion is supported by the linear motion guide so as to be movable in a first guide direction. The moving member is provided with a pusher that pushes a sample rack. The base-side guide supports the moving member such that the moving member is movable in a second guide direction that crosses the first guide direction.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TESTING PACKAGED FOODSTUFFS FOR THE PRESENCE OF MICROORGANISMS
A device and method for testing foodstuffs for the presence of microorganisms including an infeed unit for a package containing a foodstuff, a sample analysis device configured to take a sample of the foodstuff and test for the presence of microorganisms, a discharge unit for discharging the package, and a display for displaying the results of testing by the sample analysis device.
Article stacking and packaging system
A system for stacking and packaging a plurality of discrete products of different sizes is provided. The system includes a stacking system having a movable lift plate, a slide plate assembly, an adjustable stop plate, and adjustable sidewalls. Layers of articles are introduced into a stack area, and movement of the lift plate and the slide plate assembly are coordinated to stack products in layers on the lift plate. The stacking system includes an adjustment assembly that allows adjustment of the position of the stop plate and/or the sidewalls relative to a frame such that the stacking system can be quickly and efficiently configured for use with layers of articles that have different depths and/or widths. In another aspect, the stacking system cooperates with a tipping system that rolls or tips stacked product to facilitate further processing or use of the product package.
Packaging for Alcoholic Beverages, Process of Making Said Packaging and Apparatus for Packaging Barrels
Package (1) for beverages having an alcoholic contents (B) comprising: a wood barrel (2) configured for containing a predetermined quantity of an alcoholic beverage (B), at least one jacket (4) made of a plastic material film engaged outside the barrel (2) for covering at least a preponderant part of a lateral wall (2c) of the barrel itself, the jacket (4) comprises an elastically deformable tubular element (5) fitted at least partially around the lateral wall (2c) and exhibiting at least one elastically deformed portion intimately adhering to the barrel (2) lateral wall (2c); further an apparatus and process for making the package (1) by applying on the barrel (2) the jacket (4) having the shape of a first and second shells (7, 10) opposite to each other, are described.

Systems and methods for automated shipping optimization
Systems and methods for automated shipping optimization are described herein. In some embodiments, items may be loaded into a receptacle. As items are loaded into a receptacle, a imaging device monitors the items in order to determine if a package is inefficiently oriented in a receptacle. If a package is inefficiently oriented in a receptacle, in some embodiments, the imaging device may send instructions to a robotic device to re-orient the inefficiently oriented item. The imaging device and robotic device, in some embodiments, can monitor multiple receptacles.
