Machine and process for making packages containing liquid or creamy products
11299299 · 2022-04-12 · ·

A machine for making packages containing liquid or creamy products includes stations for punching/forming a first blank defining upper, lower and rear faces of the open package. A punching and creasing station forms a second blank defining first and second lateral faces of the package. The second blank has a notch for partial transversal separation between the first and second lateral faces. A station for assembling the first blank with the second blank for opening/closing the package with the notch of the two lateral faces, arranged in a “V”, to form an edge of the package. A transport unit is movable along a feed direction and configured to receive the package from the assembly station. A station opens the edge and fills the package with a dose of the product fed through the open notch. A station seals the notch.

Delivery of packages by unmanned aerial vehicles
11120391 · 2021-09-14 · ·

A package delivery apparatus uses an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to deliver a package containing a product to a delivery destination area. The UAV uses GPS signals to guide it to the delivery destination area and an altimeter to determine its height above the delivery destination area. The UAV then adjusts its height to a preferred drop or release height for that package and product and releases the package. An optional camera allows a human operator to view the delivery destination area. An expandable foam package surrounds the product to protect the product from impact and moisture. The package may be streamlined to reduce air resistance and increase the range of the UAV. The package characteristics, such as its thickness, are determined based one or more of the weight and fragile nature of the product, and the drop height.

Cell traverse for a filling machine

Embodiments of a cell traverse for an aseptic region of a filling machine for filling packages with flowable products are provided. The cell traverse includes a frame structure with at least one first lateral longitudinal structure, at least one second lateral longitudinal structure opposite the first longitudinal structure, and a plurality of transverse elements arranged between the first and second longitudinal structures and connecting the longitudinal structures. Between the longitudinal structures and the transverse elements there are a plurality of cells of the cell traverse for receiving packages to be filled. At least some of the transverse elements are connected exclusively in an form-fit and/or force-fit manner to the longitudinal structures.

Cell traverse with insert elements for a filling machine

Embodiments of a cell traverse for an aseptic region of a filling machine for filling packages with flowable products are provided. The cell traverse includes a frame structure with a first lateral longitudinal structure and a second lateral longitudinal structure opposite the first longitudinal structure. Also included are a plurality of transverse elements arranged between the first and second longitudinal structures and connecting the longitudinal structures. Between the longitudinal structures and the transverse elements a plurality of cells of the cell traverse are formed for receiving packages to be filled. The cell traverse also includes insert elements, which each have the frame structure, in particular at least one longitudinal structure and/or at least one transverse element, and at least some of the insert elements are detachably connected to the frame structure of the cell traverse.

Pouch collection robot system and method for the assembly and collection of non-filled spouted pouches

The method for handling primary containers (2) for pharmaceutical use transported along an automatic treatment line (1) operating in a controlled environment from a contamination point of view comprises the following steps: introducing into the line a secondary container (6) equipped with rows of positioning seats (18) housing the primary containers (2) separately from one another; extracting in succession the primary containers (2) maintaining the primary containers (2) separate and transferring the extracted primary containers (2) to the treatment station (10) in succession one at a time.

Case sealing device
10960997 · 2021-03-30 · ·

A case sealing device is disclosed. The case sealing device conveys a cardboard box and simultaneously closes a flap group provided on edges of opening of the cardboard box. The case sealing device includes a folding member, a drive unit, and a control unit. The folding member contacts a flap of the flap group that extends along a conveyance direction of the cardboard box and folds the flap. The drive unit moves the folding member. The control unit controls the drive unit. In operation of folding the flap, a longitudinal direction of the folding member is inclined with respect to the conveyance direction such that the folding member contacts a front edge of the flap in the conveyance direction before other portions of the flap.

UNPACKING SYSTEM AND UNPACKING METHOD

An unpacking system that unpacks a box having flaps, including: an unsealing unit that cuts a proximity region where flaps facing each other in a closed state of flaps of the box come close together; a lid-opening unit that opens, at a predetermined angle exceeding 90 degrees, a predetermined flap of the flaps having been cut by the unsealing unit; and a flap cutting unit that cuts, along a side surface of the box, a base end side of the predetermined flap opened at the predetermined angle.

REFURBISHING SYSTEM FOR REUSABLE CHILD-SAFE CONTAINERS
20200307845 · 2020-10-01 ·

An automated refurbishment system for cleaning and testing recycled child-safe containers. The system takes in durable, child-safe container bodies and caps after usage, washes the container parts reduce an amount of contaminants, and then dries the washed parts. The system then assembles the child-safe container bodies to caps, and tests the assembled child-safe containers, to assess the functionality of the child-safe features. The clean and tested refurbished child-safe containers can then be reused to dispense controlled substances (e.g., pharmaceuticals). Specific modules of the system can be interchanged to allow compatibility with different styles and designs of child-safe containers. The refurbishment system facilitates the recycling and reuse of durable, child-safe containers as an alternative to the current practice of using single-use, disposable plastic child-safe containers to dispense prescription pills and other controlled substances.
