Laser-cuttable polyolefin shrink wrap
Polyolefin shrink-wrap films may include a light-absorption additive to make them laser-cuttable by commonly-available lasers. This can make them more amenable to alteration by laser after being shrink-wrapped around a product package, such as alteration to remove sections of the polyolefin shrink-wrap film or to create tabs or perforations to facilitate removal of the polyolefin shrink-wrap film.
Film fitting head
Disclosed herein is a film fitting head which holds a tubular film fitted on a mandrel in a stable position and can prevent the film from rotating and being displaced in a peripheral direction. The film fitting head (40) includes a mandrel (M) for receiving a tubular film (L) in a fitted state in a film supply position, feeding the tubular film in a film fitting position, and fitting the tubular film onto a body portion of a container. The mandrel (M) includes a film holding portion (85) provided above a lifting member (88) located in a standby position. An outer peripheral surface of the film holding portion (85) has a tapered surface that is tapered down toward a top, and an outer peripheral length of a lower end (85a) of the film holding portion (85) is set to be approximately equal to a peripheral length of the tubular film (L) in an open state.
IDENTIFICATION OF SHRINK-WRAPPED OBJECTS
An object can be heat-shrinkable packaged by placing an object inside of heat-shrinkable film, sealing the heat-shrinkable film around the object to form a heat-shrinkable package, coupling a first portion of a label to the heat-shrinkable package, and causing the heat-shrinkable film to shrink into heat-shrunk film and the heat-shrinkable package to form into a heat-shrunk package. The label includes an identifier on a second portion of the label. The label remains coupled to the heat-shrunk film after the heat-shrinkable film is caused to shrink into heat-shrunk film. The second portion of the label remains substantially undeformed after the heat-shrinkable film is caused to shrink into heat-shrunk film.
Transportable container for bulk goods and method for forming the same
The packaging system forms a transportable container for bulk goods having stretch wrap that is spirally wrapped about a bottom support and bulk goods to define the transportable container. The stretch wrap contacts at least a portion of the bulk goods to squeeze and lock together the bulk goods. During filling, the bottom support of the transportable container lowers as the transportable container is formed to accommodate additional bulk goods. The stretch wrap is prestretched from a non-stretched state to a stretched state prior to disposing the wrap about a slip frame former in the stretched state. The wrap returns to its non-stretched state as it is disengaged from the slip frame former to squeeze and lock together the bulk goods disposed therein. The packaging system results in a transportable container that is optimally packed and shaped for the efficient filling of a truck for shipping.

Low bulk, center-pull bag dispenser with end-forms
A dispensing package for plastic bags provides a core-less roll supporting on its outer surface a shrink-wrap sleeve providing the walls of the package. Upper and lower end forms being relatively more rigid than the shrink-wrap sleeve may be placed against the upper and lower edges of the core-less roll to provide improved robustness in shipping and package aesthetics.

DYNAMICALLY CODED BUNDLES WITH INDEXING FOR VISUAL REFERENCE GROUPINGS
A workflow process for packing and unpacking variable sized bundles of printed card signs includes providing identifiable codes that make the card signs highly visible and recognizable. Included on selected card signs is a color coded border with indexing added to each bundle in groupings to help in packing and unpacking the bundles into and from boxes. When the bundles are packed in a box on edge, both the person packing and unpacking the box can easily identify the beginning and end of each bundle and thereby limiting the time required to organize and process the bundles and reduce labor cost and errors.
Shrink tunnel for shrinking shrink films onto packages, such as boxes, bottles, cans, or similar containers, or packaging units, and a method of operating a shrink tunnel to shrink wrap packages or packaging units
A shrink-wrapping tunnel heater which comprises a gas heater which heats gas used to heat and shrink a shrink film onto articles, such as packages or packaging units. The heater has at least one porous burner which comprises a porous body or reactor. The porous body or reactor designed to combust fuel therein to produce heat, but without an open flame. Articles are moved through the shrink tunnel and the heated gas heats and shrinks shrinkwrap film onto the articles.
KNOCKDOWN CRATE AND METHOD OF DISPLAY PACKAGING
A method for packaging and displaying knockdown crates for sale at a retail location is disclosed. The method of packaging and displaying knockdown crates generally includes: (a) providing one or more unassembled knockdown crates having two end panels, a bottom panel, and two side panels; (b) uniformly stacking and packing each unassembled knockdown crate into a rectangular tray; and (c) each rectangular tray containing an unassembled knockdown crate stacked into a display box, wherein the exterior of the display box advertises the contents therein for display at a retail location.
