Device and method for applying a clip-style identification tag around the twine of a hay bale
12024331 · 2024-07-02 · ·

A tagging device follows a prescribed method of attaching an identification tag to the twine of a bale as it is formed. The tagging device is sequenced to insert a clip-type tag on top or end of the bale. The tag can alternatively be numbered in a consecutive series, printed with a bar code or QRC code, have an RFID inlay applied to its surface with a index number that relates to information about the bale or has information about the bale written to the tag.

Tying device

The invention relates to a tying device of a type comprising: a work surface (10) comprising an opening (11) in the shape of a slot; a tying member (103) which can be activated so as to place at least one string (400) around an item (500) which is moving in a transfer direction (A) on a first side of the work surface (10), and to carry a portion of said string (400) to a second side of the work surface (10), forming at least one loop; and a knotting lip (55) capable of closing the loop with a knot on the second side of the work surface (10). The slot extends generally in the transfer direction (A), allowing a portion of the loop to pass through, but keeping the knot on the second side of the work surface (10) over at least a portion of the movement of the item (500).

Laparoscopic stapler

The present invention relates to a laparoscopic stapler for suturing body tissue cut during laparoscopic surgery, and more particularly, to a laparoscopic stapler in which implant binding pins to be continuously fired can be correctly positioned using an implant alignment unit for aligning an implant assembly, and an implant assembly pressing member. Therefore, malfunctioning is prevented, and implant loading, transport, and discharge can proceed smoothly.

Method of penetrating material with a fastener dispensing needle
10196166 · 2019-02-05 · ·

A method for penetrating a material with a fastener dispensing needle includes the steps of partially penetrating the material using a first penetration stroke, partially withdrawing the needle from the material using a first withdrawal stroke and, in turn, fully penetrating the material using a second penetration stroke. Once fully penetrated, a plastic fastener is dispensed from the fastener dispensing needle. Thereafter, the fastener dispensing needle is fully withdrawn from the material. Additional partial penetration and withdrawal strokes could be incorporated into the needle penetration cycle in a repeating pattern, as needed, with each penetration stroke preferably having a stroke length which is twice the length of each withdrawal stroke. The use of an oscillating, back-and-forth, linear needle penetration cycle serves to minimize the risk of lateral needle deflection which can result in bending or breakage of the needle as well as damage to the penetrated material.
