Dual mouth shotgun can
11814210 · 2023-11-14 ·

The dual mouth shotgun can may combine the advantages of a standard aluminum beverage can with a second opening to allow for a high rate of air flow and displacement resulting in a high rate of fluid flow from the can. The can may implement a stay-tab mechanism, or any other appropriate mechanism, for ease of use and familiarity, on the standard top opening, and may further implement a stay-tab mechanism, or other appropriate mechanism on the bottom or lower side of the can for shotgunning the fluid in the can. The dual mouth shotgun can may provide a user with a single opening mechanism on its top surface for normal drinking, and a second opening mechanism on its bottom or lower side surface for drinks shotgunning. In one embodiment the can may comprise an upper and a lower body that may be twisted relative to one another to expose an opening in the side of the can that allows for drinks shotgunning. In another embodiment the can may further comprise a pushrod that leverages the second opening open when the first opening is opened. In another embodiment the can may require that the upper and lower bodies must be rotated to align outer and inner holes that then allow the pushrod to push open the second opening.

An apparatus is disclosed and includes a can, which has an end wall incorporating a vent panel and a pouring panel, both panels being breakable and presenting a contour defined by a rupture line. A first actuation tab is externally affixed to the vent panel and manually and angularly displaceable, in order to be separated from the can jointly with the vent panel. A second actuation tab, which may be actuated after the vent panel is removed, is externally affixed to the pouring panel and provided with an end lower tooth, which is pressed against the rupture line of the pouring panel, when the second actuation tab is displaced so as to break, initially, the confronting spot region of the rupture line and, subsequently, to separate the pouring panel from said end wall.

A furan can for containing a product includes a sealed container that contains the product and includes a furan resin selected from the group consisting of: poly (ethylene 2,5-furan dicarboxylate) (PEF), poly (butylene 2,5-furan dicarboxylate) (PBF), poly (trim ethylene furan dicarboxylate) (PTF), poly (propylene 2,5-furandicarboxylate) (PPF), and poly (neopentyl 2,5-furandicarboxylate) (PNF); and a release mechanism to open the container and access the product. The can may further include a generally cylindrical shell molded to have a sealed bottom and a straight wall that includes the furan resin; and a cap to seal the shell, the cap having the release mechanism and a rim that includes the furan resin; wherein the rim of the cap is bonded to the wall of the shell to releasably seal the product inside the can.

Panel, and a container body and a container provided with such panel

The present invention relates to a panel including a peripheral edge to be connected to a container body of a container, and a tab connected to the panel, which tab includes a front tab part and a rear tab part for gripping and forming an opening in the panel, wherein the panel is provided with means preventing an external can structure to engage with the rear tab part, and to a can body and a can including such a panel.

ALUMINUM CAN

An aluminum can that has a maximum height of roughness Rz1 in the circumferential direction of not more than 0.5 μm on the outer surface of the thinnest portion of the body portion and, as viewed on the side surface, has a ratio Ra1/Ra2 in a range of 0.8 to 1.2, the ratio Ra1/Ra2 being that of a mean surface roughness Ra1 in the circumferential direction on the outer surface of the thinnest portion of the body portion and a mean surface roughness Ra2 in the circumferential direction on the outer surface of the lower end portion of the body portion.

A coated aluminum sheet includes an aluminum alloy sheet including a first surface and a second surface situated opposite to the first surface and first and second coating films formed on the first and second surfaces, respectively. The first and second coating films each have a mass of 0.1 to 20 g/m.sup.2 per unit area. The first coating film includes 0.1 to 1.5% by mass of a polyethylene wax and 0.1 to 1.5% by mass of a carnauba wax. The second coating film includes 0.4 to 0.8% by mass of a polyethylene wax and 0.4 to 0.8% by mass of a carnauba wax. Respective contents of another wax in the first and second coating films are 1.5% by mass or less and 0.7% by mass or less respectively. Post-lubrication including a petrolatum wax on the second coating film is 10 mg/m.sup.2 or less in amount.

Embodiments of the present invention include food and beverage packaging utilizing heat seal technology, and specifically include food and beverage containers with end closures having seals or liners and snap-fit closure mechanisms. In some embodiments, the food and beverage containers and the end closures are metal. In further embodiments, the food and beverage containers include a domed portion on the bottom closed end. The end closures can snap onto the food and beverage containers such that the packaging is reclosable. Moreover, the sealed packaging with reclosable features can retain a variety of internal pressures including pressures higher than possible with the heat seal alone.

Stackable cover with beverage can opener

The present invention relates to a top lid for beverage cans, with an opener built into a hygienic cover. The hygienic cover is designed to cover the area around the opening part defined in the top lid, thereby protecting the contact portion of the lip of the top lid from atmospheric impurities and keeping the can clean during storage. The hygienic cover also has an opening system that presses on the opening part of the lid and breaks the part along the recessed seam when the cover is levered. The opening system has a reinforcement notch that improves the rigidity of the opening system, such that the opening system reliably breaks the opening part of the lid without failure, even if a high pressure is acting on the inner surface of the opening part. The configuration and arrangement of the notch in the opening system can be changed freely according to the design conditions of the can, or the internal pressure acting on the opening part and the size of the can. The hygienic cover also includes a handle that can be operated by the user with the fingers in order to lift same. This handle makes it easy for a user to grip and handle the cover while lifting said cover in order to open the top lid of the beverage can.
