Protective products, such as envelopes, having a unique combination of interior padding of expanded slit sheet paper and exterior lining of embossed paper
A protective product, such as, e.g., an envelope or pouch, is provided that includes at least one expanded slit paper sheet in an expanded state, and an embossed paper sheet facing the expanded slit paper sheet and fixed to the expanded slit paper sheet along at least a portion of a length in an expansion direction of the expanded slit sheet paper. In the preferred embodiments, the embossed paper sheet has a plurality of embossings that increase the rigidity of the embossed paper sheet, thereby inhibiting deformation of the embossed paper sheet that is fixed to the expanded slit sheet paper.
Multi-film thermoplastic structures and bags having visually-distinct contact areas and methods of making the same
One or more implementations of a multi-film thermoplastic structure include a first film having a first appearance in contact with a second film having a second appearance at one or more visually-distinct contact areas. Wherein the one or more visually-distinct contact areas, cause the first film to take on the second appearance of the second film. The visually-distinct contact areas being of a uniform gauge and configured to separate before either of the first film or the second film fails when subjected to peel forces.
Liquid sample bulk mailing package device
A liquid sample bulk mailing packaging device includes a paperboard envelope blank assembled to form a hermetically sealed leakproof containment pocket that, in combination with proper alignment of a liquid containing packette enclosed inside, will prevent leakage in the event the enclosed liquid containing packette fails during mail processing. The device may include coupons printed on the envelope blank and seperable by perforations, and may be printed on both sides.
User selectable file tab system and method
A folder and method of making a panel with a plurality of foldable tab extensions. The extensions include first and second regions extending away from the panel, and having scored fold lines therebetween. The uppermost tab region has a releasable adhesive as does a portion of the panel. The panel has a releasable coating or surface such when the tab extensions are folded, either at the first or second region along the fold lines, adhesive on the second region will mate with surface on the panel. To reduce memory effect at the fold, the score lines can be triple scored by parallel two or three parallel score lines. The central score line can be shallower than the parallel scores on either side thereof.
Liquid sample bulk mailing package device
A liquid sample bulk mailing packaging device includes a paperboard envelope blank assembled to form a hermetically sealed leakproof containment pocket such that a moisture resistant coating on .Iadd.at least .Iaddend.one of the paperboard surfaces will prevent leakage in the event an enclosed liquid containing packette fails during mail processing, while .Iadd.if uncoated .Iaddend.the other paperboard surface will absorb the moisture from the packette. The device meets the US Postal Service requirements for machinable and automation letters.

Security self-mailer
A mailer includes a sheet having a front face, a rear face, a top edge and a bottom edge substantially parallel to one another, a left edge and a right edge substantially parallel to one another and substantially perpendicular to the top and bottom edges. A first, a second, and a third fold line are substantially parallel to the top and bottom edges, extending between the left edge and the right edge, and dividing the sheet into a first panel, a second panel, a third panel and a fourth panel. A protected information area is on the front face of the second panel and spaced apart from the left edge, the right edge, the first fold line and the second fold line. Four blackouts are printed on various panels to cover the protected information area.

SMART CONTAINER FOR DETECTING BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES
One embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus for analyzing substances included in a sample. The apparatus includes a physical enclosure for holding the sample and one or more sensors positioned on an inner surface of the physical enclosure. The sensors are configured to provide information associated with the substances included in the sample. The apparatus further includes electrical conductive traces positioned on the inner surface and coupled to the one or more sensors, thereby facilitating transmission of outputs of the sensors.
Reusable mailer bag
A reusable mailer bag includes a front panel, a rear panel, a pair of side panels, and a bottom panel. The panels together define a carrying volume including an opening opposite the bottom panel. A pair of handles are attached to an interior surface of the carrying volume and are configured for positioning entirely within the carrying volume during shipping. The pair of handles are configured to extend out of the opening to convert the reusable mailer bag for use as a carrying bag. A flap is attached to the rear panel at a first end and is configured to extend across the opening to close the opening. The flap is securable to the front panel at a second end by an adhesive strip. The flap is configured to be removed from the mailer bag after shipping.
