Container stopper for high pierce count applications
A pierceable self-resealing stopper for a container is disclosed. The disclosed stopper is suitable for sealing a container containing reagents for use in a high-throughput analysis system in which reagents in the container are accessed by an aspirator probe piercing the stopper. The stopper is configured for being pierced and resealing itself a large number of times without degradation of the stopper by coring or fragmentation, for example. A set of protrusions extending from a top surface of the stopper is depressed to stretch a thin diaphragm area between the protrusions prior to and during insertion of the probe. After extraction of the probe, the protrusions are allowed to return to a relaxed state, which discontinues stretching of the diaphragm area and reseals the container.
RECYCLABLE, THERMALLY INSULATED SHIPPING CONTAINER WITH PACKED, LOOSE-FILL ORGANIC INSULATION AND PCM BLADDER INSERT
A recyclable, thermally insulated shipping container is entirely constructed from organic fiber materials in such a manner that the container is curbside recyclable without separation of component materials. The container includes a corrugated cardboard outer box having a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls and a top wall, a corrugated cardboard inner liner assembly comprising a corrugated cardboard inner box having a bottom wall and a plurality of sidewalls, and a corrugated cardboard lid assembly. The outer box, inner liner assembly and lid assembly cooperate to create a plurality of thermally insulated cavities which are filled and uniformly packed with predetermined volumes of loose-fill cellulose (organic fiber) insulation to create a predetermined insulating value. The container provides a fully insulated six-sided product cavity to receive a temperature-controlled product. A portion of the product cavity may be filled with a PCM or other thermal media to provide a consistent temperature profile.
Multifunctional flexible deformation cup
This utility model released one kind of multifunctional flexibly transformable cup, comprising one internally cut-through transformable cup and a nested bottom plug that is sealed and clamped with the transformable cup body. The above-mentioned transformable cup is comprised of a foldable enclosure and pin that are successively cut-through and flexibly and tightly connected. The aforesaid seal clamp for embedded bottom plug is located at the junction between the foldable enclosure and pin. When the multifunctional flexibly transformable cup of the utility model is in use, the folding enclosure body can be overturned freely, and the whole body is made of food-grade flexible silica gel material, which is safe and reliable and not easy to be broken. It can also be used as the wine cup, bottle stopper and the bottleneck inserted into the wine bottle that can be directly used for drainage of fluid, with complete functions.
Wine bottle with cork retainer and re-use features
A wine bottle is provided with a punt at a lower end which includes a cork retainer therein. A cork can thus be stored within the cork retainer. In one embodiment, the cork retainer includes two retainer surfaces which are opposing each other horizontally, and spaced apart by a length similar to opposing portions of the cork to allow the cork to fit tightly between these retainer surfaces. Space above the retainer surfaces can hold a foil wrap with the cork within the cork retainer and holding the foil wrap in place. Full re-use of the bottle is thus facilitated. In one embodiment, the bottle has an octagonal shape so that multiple bottles can be shipped together and placed adjacent each other with flat surfaces distributing loads therebetween, without forces concentrated at points thereof, and to keep the bottles in good shape for washing, refilling and re-use.

HERMETIC STOPPER FOR A NOZZLE
A stopper configured to hermetically close a nozzle intended to contain a biopharmaceutical fluid with a cylindrical bore of diameter (D1) and a flange having a groove. The stopper has a body with a front part with a cylindrical outer wall about an axis A, with a diameter at rest greater than (D1), intended to be received under stress in the cylindrical bore of the nozzle, a stop disc extending a rear part of the body radially towards the outside and extending in a plane transverse to the axis. The body and the stop disc are rotationally symmetric about the axis A. The stop disc includes an annular bulge, interposed radially between a first annular shoulder and a second annular shoulder, the bulge extending forward from the stop disc and being intended to be received in the groove in the flange of the nozzle.
Systems and methods for de-oxygenation of a closed container
A de-oxygenation stopper configured to enable aging of an oxygen sensitive material such as wine contained within a vessel, while minimizing oxygen content within the vessel. The stopper includes an oxygen scavenging element configured to remove and/or neutralize oxygen molecules within the vessel, and a sealing element formed of one or more materials having tailored oxygen transmission rate(s) configured to enable the material to age at a desired rate.
Single-use beverage barrel made of stainless steel
A single-use beverage barrel for one-time use, produced from a primarily cylindrical casing part, deep-drawn bottom and lid parts, having an opening in the center of the lid part, which is sealed by a plastic fitting and wherein the casing part is produced from stainless steel and has a wall thickness of 0.8 mm or less and the bottom part and the lid part are also produced from stainless steel and have a wall thickness of 0.8 mm or less.
CLOSURE FOR A PRODUCT-RETAINING CONTAINER
A closure for a container is disclosed. The closure comprises a core member comprising at least one thermoplastic polymer, and at least one peripheral layer at least partially surrounding and intimately bonded to at least one surface of the core member, said peripheral layer comprising at least one styrene block co-polymer, wherein the core member has a density in the range of from about 100 kg/m.sup.3 to 350 kg/m.sup.3 and the peripheral layer has a density in the range of from greater than 350 kg/m.sup.3 to about 1,500 kg/m.sup.3 and a thickness in the range of from 0.15 mm to less than 0.50 mm.
Pouring closure
Pouring closure for liquid containers with pour spout sealingly fixed to a container neck, the cross section of which is closed by a membrane before use. A portion of the membrane extends transversely, approximately pear-shaped, and connected to the remaining portion via an easily tearable line of weakness and can be detached from the membrane. After detachment, an opening in the membrane is released that is correspondingly pear-shape, and liquid poured selectively out of a relatively narrower section or wider section. The pouring closure is produced by tearing out a membrane section and facilitates dosed pouring. Webs on the inner surface at a close distance parallel to the line of weakness and outside the tear-out section run on both sides of the narrow section of the tear-out portion or of the opening and along at least a portion of a transition region between the narrower and the wider sections.
