CONTAINER AND CONTAINER LID WITH BUILT-IN BRINE DISC
The present disclosure relates generally to containers and container lids. In at least one embodiment, the disclosed containers and container lids provide a liquid-tight seal without the use of gaskets, and can facilitate full submersion of solid items when the container is filled with liquid. For example, in certain embodiments, a container lid includes a brine disc panel with alternating hatched patterns of downward protruding ridges. Thus, in these embodiments, liquids within the container can pass between the protruding ridges (e.g., with the protruding ridges extending downwardly into the liquid) and the protruding ridges may keep solids that tend to float in the liquid below a surface of the liquid.
Removable Sanitary Film for Disposable Cup Lids
A removable annular food safe barrier film with anterior oriented pull-tab and posterior oriented tab adapted to sealingly engage, conform and adhere to the top wall surface of a disposable molded plastic cup lid when properly placed thereon by means of a low cohesive or repositionable food safe adhesive. The primary purpose of this barrier film invention is to prevent or minimize bacterial or pathogen cross contamination of the top wall surface of disposable cup lids of the drink through type by means of direct contact with unprotected, contaminated, unclean or unsanitary human hands. Cross contamination is most likely to occur during the process of affixing a disposable cup lid to a disposable cup by commercial retail foodservice personnel.
Plastic closure with enhanced performance
A plastic closure embodying the principles of the present invention comprises a closure cap having a top wall portion, and an annular skirt portion depending from the top wall portion. The skirt portion includes an internal thread formation for threaded engagement with the external thread formation of an associated container. In order to facilitate high-speed application, and minimize the use of polymeric material, the closure is configured to exhibit a variation in retention force which decreases in a direction away from the top wall portion of the closure cap.
Caps and closures
This disclosure relates to caps and closures manufactured from an ethylene interpolymer product, or a blend containing an ethylene interpolymer product.
Caps and closures
This disclosure relates to caps and closures manufactured from an ethylene interpolymer product, or a blend containing an ethylene interpolymer product.
LOCKABLE CLOSURE
Aspects of the present invention are directed to a child-proof cap that is easier to open for adults than traditional child-resistant closures, yet remains resistant to opening by children. The child-proof cap may be opened in a pull-and-flip motion with a single hand.
POLYMER COMPOSITION FOR CAPS AND CLOSURES
Caps and closures comprising high density polyethylene, polyolefin elastomer and polypropylene wherein the amount of high density polyethylene is more than 50% by weight of the total amount of high density polyethylene, polyolefm elastomer and polypropylene and wherein the total amount of high density polyethylene, polyolefin elastomer and polypropylene is 100% by weight.
INK-FILLED CARTRIDGE
An ink-filled cartridge includes a cartridge, including a cylindrical syringe and a plunger, and an ink therein. The ink has a viscosity at 25? C. of from 50 to 2,000 dPa.Math.s. The ink contains one or more air bubbles having a diameter of 0.1 mm or more. A total volume A of air bubbles in a portion of the syringe corresponding to a distance from a lower end of a discharge nozzle of the cylindrical syringe to a mid-point between the lower end and the plunger, and a total volume B of air bubbles in a portion of the syringe corresponding to a distance from the mid-point to the plunger, satisfy: 0?A/B<1.0.
Tamper-evident closure
A tamper-evident closure containing an outer cap with a sidewall and a top wall having a tamper-evident member connected by a frangible structure; an inner cap with a sidewall and a top wall, coaxially nested in the outer cap; a protruding element between the top walls; a first engagement mechanism for driving the outer cap and the inner cap upon application of a rotational torque in a screwing direction; a second engagement mechanism for driving the outer cap and the inner cap upon application of a rotational torque in an unscrewing direction; and a third engagement mechanism for breaking the frangible structure upon rotational movement of the outer and inner caps.
Hybrid plug and method of sealing a drum
The hybrid plug is a single component replacement for three components, the paint plug, conventional plug and capseal in a drum closure. It is formed from a single sheet of metal and has a plug portion and a capseal portion which vary in thickness. The plug portion has a collar and an externally threaded wall with a plug gasket disposed on a plug gasket seat. The capseal portion is provided with ears and scoring to enable separation from the plug portion and with a lining on the inner wall of the capseal portion to safeguard against plug gasket failure. The capseal portion may be recessed at intervals to form dimples which hold the hybrid plug in place in an automated insertion process. The hybrid plug provides a passage for air and gases during paint curing and leak testing without necessitating removal.
