Induction heat sealed container closures
10287039 · 2019-05-14 ·

Container closures for bottles, cans, tubs, etc. having a sloping or slanted flange on the container which matches a complementary flange on a closure cap. The flange is disposed at an angle of at least 10 degrees and a preferred angle of about 20 degrees for a conventional 63 mm closure and a preferred width of about 0.125 to 0.175 inches. A foil liner carried by the cap includes an induction heat activated adhesive on at least the portion thereof facing the complementary flange on the container for greatly increasing burst, vacuum and drop impact strength of the container because the adhesion is in shear rather than peel. Provision can be made for facilitating peeling of the liner to assist the consumer in opening the container. The liner may additionally be adhered to a horizontal surface of the container for further securing the liner thereto.

Bottle closure with easy open tabs

A cap for a bottle is provided with taps that make it easy for someone with a disability, e.g., arthritis, to twist the cap off of the bottle. The cap can have two or more rectangular vertical tabs arranged along the perimeter of the top surface of the cap so as to face each other in parallel on opposite sides of the top surface of the cap. The tabs have an extended height, i.e., greater than th inch and are separated by a distance approximately equal to the diameter of the top surface of the cap. The top corners of the tabs are squared (90 degree angles) to provide better gripping of a corner against which the tabs are placed while twisting the bottle so as to cause the cap to be released from the bottle.

SECURITY CLOSURE SYSTEM AND DEVICES FOR CONTAINERS
20190127121 · 2019-05-02 ·

The present invention relates to a security closure system and devices for containers, which can be used in any type of container and can be validated by means of simple sight and touch, thereby being tamper-resistant and preventing any adulteration by means of the non-authorised re-use of the original container. The system and devices are preferably used in containers made from vitreous materials such as ceramics, plastics and thermoplastics, owing to the properties of stiffness. The devices of the invention can be used for any product and any type of container, such as bottles for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, containers for cosmetics, perfumes, drugs, food and valuable items such as watches, electronics or fine jewelry.

Packaging system and use thereof

The packaging system according to the invention comprises a container (1), which includes a neck (2) defining an axis (X-X), and a stopper (10) for closing the neck, which includes a skirt (12) adapted to be fastened removably around the neck. In order to quickly and easily check that the stopper is positioned correctly on the neck when the container is closed, the invention provides means for visually checking that the system is in a closed configuration, predetermined afterwards by applying a preset stress for having the skirt cooperate with the neck, said means comprise both: first indicators (20, 22) of the angular position around the axis between the neck and the skirt, said first indicators being respectively borne by the neck and the skirt and being designed to be arranged with an angular spacing between them which is substantially equal to a first predetermined value when the packaging system is in the closed configuration, and second indicators (21, 23) of the position along the axis between the skirt and the neck, said second indicators being separate from the first indicators, borne respectively by the neck and by the skirt, and designed to be arranged parallel to each other with an axial spacing () between them which is below a second predetermined value when the packaging system is in the closed configuration.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INJECTION MOULDING A CAP WITH A TAMPERPROOF RING

A method and an apparatus form aluminium screw capsules with a safety ring made of synthetic plastics for tamperproof closing of containers. An aluminium capsule body is inserted into a moulding cavity Of a mould conformed and arranged for the overmoulding of a safety ring on an edge of an annular wall of the capsule body. An annular sealing zone is defined for the synthetic plastic material between a first surface of the capsule body and a mould first portion inserted into the central cavity of the capsule body to form a safety ring anchored to the capsule body.

Closure for retort container

A retortable container is formed with an opening formed defined by a projecting rim. The rim includes an external surface and securing structure formed thereon. A flexible membrane is sealed to the rim and closes the opening. A closure is provided having a molded plastic tubular ring and a separately formed molded plastic disk. The tubular ring includes an overlapping flange at a top and directed inwardly towards an inwardly positioned open area. The skirt includes an engagement structure for securing the closure to the external surface of the rim. The disk is separately attached to the ring within the open area after the retort process is applied to the sealed bottle.

FIXED VOLUME FLUID DISPENSER
20190077555 · 2019-03-14 · ·

A fixed volume fluid dispenser useful for dispensing material from a container such as salad dressing from a bottle. The dispenser may be formed as part of the container, or a separate device useable in conjunction with the container. The disclosed dispenser may be attachable to the container in place of a standard bottle cover and cap sold with the bottle. A valve and actuator may be included to allow the user to selectively fill the dispenser from the container, and a cap may be present to allow the contents of the dispenser emptied from the dispenser. The dispenser may be rigid, or semi rigid, thus allowing only a fixed volume of material to be dispensed at a time.

Synthetic resin container lid

A cap-type synthetic resin container lid is easily removable from a container without separating to form scrap pieces, The container lid includes thin-walled inversion pieces that extend upward beyond a top panel wall from their lower ends which connect to the outer surface of a skirt wall, a restraint wall that is connected to the upper ends of the thin-walled inversion pieces and that has a specific site in the circumferential direction, and an operating section connected to the outer surface of the skirt wall via a connecting piece that extends radially out from the skirt wall at a position in alignment with the specific site. Locked projections and locking projections, on the restraint wall and the connecting piece respectively, restrict expansion of the restraint wall.

Lid for an opening device

A lid for an opening device for a container includes a body having a longitudinal axis and provided with an end wall and with a side wall internally provided with a thread element suitable for cooperating with a further thread element of a spout of the opening device, the lid further includes at least one driving element having a first side arranged to receive the fingers of a user during unscrewing of the lid from the spout and a second side arranged for receiving the fingers of a user during screwing of the lid on the spout, the first side being defined by a wall and the second side being defined by a cavity.
