A self-venting self-resealing pre-cut elastomeric closure for vials, bottles and the like, comprising a dished elastomeric septum supported for closing an opening in a container, a cut across the dished elastomeric septum, and additional cuts defining with the cross cut one or more flap areas elastically displaceable from a closed condition to a venting condition in response to insertion of a liquid transfer implement through the central area of the septum dish.

A lid for a beverage container having a reservoir chamber for holding drink additive, a measurement chamber in fluid communication with the measurement chamber, and an upper chamber with a lower end in fluid communication with an upper end portion of the reservoir chamber. A plunger has an upper chamber seal, an upper seal and a lower seal, and an actuator moves the plunger between first, second and third plunger positions to dispense a measured drink additive in the measurement chamber into the container. The plunger has a central filler port to receive drink additive and an aperture in fluid communication with the reservoir chamber. The actuator includes a closure member closing the filler port and manually movable to move the plunger. A lock member is movable between locked and unlocked positions, and in the locked position prevents movement of the plunger from the first to the second plunger position.

A pillow that contains an item, such as a gift, wherein the pillow can be opened to access the gift. The pillow includes an aesthetic external appearance. This appearance may be provided by a printed covering that is disposed on the outside surface of the pillow. The pillow preferably includes one or more closure mechanisms, such as one or more zippers. Tethers may be provided on the closure mechanism(s), and piping may be included on the covering. The piping not only effectively hides the teeth of the closure mechanism (s), but also improves the look and style of the exterior of the pillow. A flap and tassels may instead be provided on the pillow. Given that the pillow is configured to contain an item, is configured to be opened to remove the item, is configured to be closed once the item has been removed, and has a decorative external appearance and/or brand recognition appearance, the pillow is unique in that it doubles as both packaging and a throw pillow useable after the item has been removed.

A cap manipulator and a cap assembly are provided. The cap manipulator includes a first airbag member, a second airbag member, and an airstream channel structure therebetween and enabling inner spaces of the first airbag member and the second airbag member to be communicated. If the second airbag member is squeezed, a volume of the first airbag member is greater than that of an insertion space, and if the second airbag member is not squeezed, the volume of the first airbag member is smaller than or equal to that of the insertion space.

A cap manipulator and a cap assembly are provided. A self-adhesive layered septum is disclosed. In one example, the septum includes a first outer layer including a thermoplastic elastomer such as a styrenic block copolymer, containing styrene ethylene butylene styrene (TPE-SEBS) capable of closing at least partially an aperture formed when a needle is inserted through the layer; an adhesive second layer for adhering the septum to a mouth area of a well or container to which the septum is attachable; and a thermoplastic third layer between the first and second layers, thermobonded to the first layer and providing better adherence for the adhesive layer. The first layer includes a recess and a vent, which reduce pressure differentials in use, but together with the third layer minimize evaporation through the septum.

A container and method include a bowl having an interior for storing a substance, an openable lower lid for accessing the substance when the lower lid is in an open configuration, and an upper lid for retaining the substance within the interior of the bowl and the lower lid. The lower lid in the open configuration is replaceable and resealable using an adhesive to be in a closed configuration, with the substance sealed within the bowl. The bowl, the lower lid, and the upper lid are composed of a biodegradable or recyclable material. A ring is disposed under a lip of the bowl and engageable with the upper lid for establishing a child-resistant engagement between the upper lid and the bowl. An intermediate lid pushes against an engagement surface of the bowl for locking the upper lid

Described is an automated reagent mixing container for separately storing and automatically mixing together at least two stored reagent components.

In one general aspect, a method for filling multiple containers with a pharmaceutical product is disclosed, which comprises decontaminating sealed nested materials in a transfer chamber, removing from the sealed nested materials one or both of a container nest holding the multiple containers and a closure nest holding multiple closures, transferring from the transfer chamber to a controlled environment enclosure the removed nest, aseptically filling the containers with the pharmaceutical product, and closing the containers with the multiple closures. The nests are configured to allow multiple closures and containers to be simultaneously aligned concentrically, and closed simultaneously. Spring-loaded retaining structures on the closure nest allow it to releasably retain multiple closures above the corresponding multiple containers. In some embodiments the spring-loaded features are monolithically integrated with the closure nest. The product may be lyophilized in partially sealed containers while the sealing closures are releasably retained by the closure nest.
