Fluid Dispensing Cover
A fluid dispensing cover is described and which includes a main body defining an internal cavity, and a fluid dispensing passageway which extends through the main body; a selectively movable closure member which is pivotally mounted within the internal cavity and which is normally biased into an occluding position relative to the fluid dispensing passageway, and a movable force transmitting member which is operable to cause the selectively movable closure member to move from a normally occluding position to a non-occluding position so as to facilitate the selective dispensing of a source of fluid through the fluid dispensing aperture.
SEALING CAP FOR A CONTAINER FOR HOLDING A MEDICAL LIQUID
A sealing cap for a container for holding a medical liquid comprises a cap body and a connection device having a sealing element arranged on the cap body. The sealing element is arranged at the opening and is retained in the cap body in a clamped manner by a, preferably annular, flanged rim. The connection device has a break-off piece, which is firmly connected to the cap body and covers an outer face of the sealing element in the outward direction. The break-off piece is integral with the cap body, is connected to the cap body by a predetermined breaking point where the break-off piece can be detached from the cap body. The sealing element outer face is substantially flat and is accessible for wiping to provide a sealing cap having a sealing element arranged that can be simply and reliably disinfected.
FLUID RECEIVER FITTING FOR ASEPTIC FLUID TRANSFER AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
A fluid receiver fitting (FRF) for supporting aseptic fluid transfer between enclosures, as well as methods for forming the fluid receiver, is disclosed. The FRF includes a unitized seal section (226) and channel section (228) formed together by 2-shot injection molding, thereby eliminating or minimizing modes of fluid contamination where the seal section and channel section are separate members. The channel section may comprise one or more channels (286) for insertion of a needle (N) therein and a respective penetration zone (266) in a corresponding section of the seal section for the needle to a penetrate and thereby extract a fluid sample from a liquid stream against which a portion of the seal section is exposed. An angled interface (288) between each channel and its corresponding penetration zone provides a liquid stream pressure concentration zone which applies pressure to close a core (C) in the seal section formed by removal of the needle.
Closing assembly for a bottle, associated bottle and assembly method
A closing assembly for a bottle, the assembly including a cage, a closing stopper, and a ring nut. The cage includes a side wall with an inner surface including a bead and a lip spaced to form a seat for a collar of the bottle. Retaining teeth are provided for keeping a head of the closing stopper in position. An outer surface of the side wall of the cage includes an annular cavity and a side wall of the ring nut includes an inner lower projection configured to engage the annular cavity in a preassembly configuration. The cage further includes a plurality of windows. Each window includes a tongue connected to a lower edge of the window along a hinge line. The lip is formed at an upper end of each tongue and each tongue is rotatable elastically about the hinge line.
LIQUID STORAGE AND DELIVERY MECHANISMS AND METHODS
A method is provided comprising loading shells into shell retention chambers of a shell management module, the shells including corresponding reservoirs configured to hold individual quantities of liquid, the shell retention chambers arranged in a predetermined pattern on a platform of the shell management module. The method further comprises orienting discharge ends of the shells along an actuation direction within the shell retention chambers, and covering the discharge ends with closure lids to seal bottoms of the corresponding reservoirs.
DEVICE FOR SEALING A FLUID PRODUCT VESSEL
A device for sealing a vessel, having a stopper for closing the vessel, the stopper including a sealing mechanism for sealing with the vessel; an attachment ring for attaching the stopper to the vessel, the ring has a sleeve provided with a radial flange with a central opening, and first attachment mechanism to be attached to the vessel; a cover having a radial disc and second attachment mechanism; a blocking element having an axial wall and a complementary attachment mechanism engaging in the assembled state with the second attachment mechanism. The axial wall has on one portion of its periphery a tearable tab defined between two grooves forming bridges of thin material, the tab having, on one side, a gripping portion and ending, on the opposite side, with a flared portion such that, once torn, the axial wall opens out along the entire height allowing removal of the blocking element.
CAP FOR CLOSING A CONTAINER FOR ADMINISTERING A MEDICATION, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A cap for closing a container for administering a medication includes a pot-shaped body having a cavity with at least one or more openings and a base plane for delimiting the cavity at least in some regions. The cap also has at least one septum. The body has a dome with an end-face opening closed by the septum. The dome protrudes from the base plane on the base plane face opposite the cavity. The septum is inserted into a receiving area of the dome under pretension.
One-way valve and apparatus and method of using the valve
A flexible pouch and valve assembly is provided for aseptically storing a substance, dispensing multiple portions of the stored substance therefrom, and maintaining substance remaining in the pouch in an aseptic condition sealed with respect to ambient atmosphere. The flexible pouch and valve assembly are receivable within a relatively rigid housing, and are adapted to cooperate with a pump for pumping discrete portions of substance from the pouch and through the one-way valve to dispense the substance therefrom. The assembly comprises a flexible pouch defining therein a variable-volume storage chamber sealed with respect to the ambient atmosphere for aseptically storing therein multiple portions of the substance. A one-way valve of the assembly includes a valve body defining an axially-extending valve seat and at least one flow aperture extending through the valve body and/or the valve seat.
Septums and related methods
Example apparatus including septums and related methods are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a septum that includes a first surface and a membrane coupled to at least a portion of the first surface. In addition, the example septum includes a second surface and ribs extending between the membrane and the second surface.
Packaged consumer product
A packaged consumer product comprising: a package container; a consumer product disposed within the package container; a package closure disposed in communication with the package container; and an indicia comprising an array of visual elements disposed upon adjacent surfaces of the package container and package closure.
