The present application relates to a system for dispensing fluid. The system includes a flexible container including a spout that is in fluid communication with an interior region of the container. The system includes a cap configured to be mounted to the spout. The cap includes an opening that leads to a membrane and a first retention mechanism located in the opening. The system includes a piercing tube having a first end configured to puncture the membrane and a second end configured to be connected to a dispensing tube. The piercing tube includes a seal bead and a second retention mechanism. The piercing tube is inserted into the opening of the cap such that the first end punctures the membrane, the first and second retention mechanisms engage each other to retain the piercing tube in the cap, and the seal bead sealingly engages the cap.

A bi-injection molded housing of a locking cap for a pharmaceutical vial includes a first material forming an upper ring, legs having upper ends rigidly connected to the upper ring, and bridges connecting lower ends of the legs in pairs, at least some bridges comprising a flexible tab configured to engage under a flange of the vial. The housing further includes a second elastomer material forming a stopper configured to seal the vial when the flexible tabs engage under the flange. At least one inner face of the upper ring made of the first material is rigidly connected to the stopper made of the second material.

In some embodiments of the invention, the systems and devices of the invention include a first connection interface attached to a first vessel and a second connection interface attached to a second vessel, wherein the first connection interface and the second connection interface are configured to allow for an engagement between the first vessel and the second vessel, and wherein the first and second connection interfaces are further configured to externally displace from the engagement between the first vessel and the second vessel while a hermetically sealed connection is maintained between the first vessel and the second vessel.

DEVICE FOR PROTECTING AND SEALING THE OPENING OF A CONTAINER

Embodiments of a device for protecting and sealing the opening of a container. This device is a one-piece made plug for a flask or container, comprising at least one passing channel, and at least one structural flow regulator barrier, allowing the passing of solid elements. The structural regulator barrier comprises at least a gate to regulate the passing and connection between the inside space and the outside space of the container in a unidirectional and/or bidirectional way. An embodiment includes a method and a mold for manufacturing such a device.

Bottle Closure

A bottle closure includes a base and top portion. The base portion is attachable to a bottle. The base portion has a first passageway extending therethrough configured to communicate with a bottle interior. The top portion is releasably connectable with the base portion. The top portion is movable relative to the base portion between open and closed positions. When open, the top portion is spaced from the base portion to provide access to the base portion first passageway. When closed, the top portion is in register with the base portion and covers the base portion first passageway. The top portion further has a second passageway extending therethrough and a drink spout in the second passageway. The drink spout has a portion configured for movement in the second passageway between open and closed positions. The open position allows fluid communication through the second passageway and the closed prevents it.

A break-away connection is adapted to preferentially break or separate when a sufficient bending or twisting force is applied to the upper portion relative to the lower portion. The conduit may be normally closed by a self-resealing elastomeric septum provided in the lower portion and a slidable shutter may be provided on the upper portion.
