Vessel closures and methods for using and manufacturing same

Vessel closures having a variety of inserts for aseptically sealing vessels. The vessel closures have a body with one or more apertures, one or more inserts extending axially through the one or more apertures, and a cast seal surrounding the inserts. The cast seal is preferably east silicone. The vessel closures may have one or more anchors securing the inserts to the body of the vessel closure. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing vessel closures and a method of using the vessel closures disclosed herein for circulating fluids into and out of a vessel while also having the ability to regulate the temperature of the pumped fluid.

Specimen container for urine and other liquids

A specimen container for urine and other liquids is provided having a container lid, an elastomeric septum, a cup, and a non-porous seal. The elastomeric septum covers a septum hole in the lid, and the non-porous seal is affixed to the lid such that it creates a liquid-tight boundary between the septum and the chamber within the bottle. The septum includes a depressed portion and an area of minimum thickness shaped to allow an implement to pass through the area of minimum thickness. The depressed portion may also include a pre-cut which allows the implement to pass through the septum more easily.

Safety device against excess temperature
10000318 · 2018-06-19 · ·

A safety apparatus is for containers loaded by gas pressure, in particular the gas side (13) of hydropneumatic devices such as hydraulic accumulators (1). The safety apparatus has a connection device (19) that can be attached to the pressure chamber of the container to form a passage (25) between the gas side (13) of the container and the outside. A structure (27) normally blocks the passage (25) and under the influence of temperature can be transferred into a state that allows a flow path through the passage (25) to be cleared.

Inner seal with a sub tab layer

A pull-tab sealing member for a container containing an upper laminate forming a pull-tab bonded to a lower laminate capable of being heat sealed to a container's mouth or opening. The upper laminate defines the pull tab wholly within a perimeter or circumference of the seal. The sealing member further includes a sub tab layer or member under the gripping tab for structural support.

FLUID RECEIVER FITTING FOR ASEPTIC FLUID TRANSFER AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME

A fluid receiver fitting (FRF) for supporting aseptic fluid transfer between enclosures, as well as methods for forming the fluid receiver, is disclosed. The FRF includes a unitized seal section (226) and channel section (228) formed together by 2-shot injection molding, thereby eliminating or minimizing modes of fluid contamination where the seal section and channel section are separate members. The channel section may comprise one or more channels (286) for insertion of a needle (N) therein and a respective penetration zone (266) in a corresponding section of the seal section for the needle to penetrate and thereby extract a fluid sample from a liquid stream against which a portion of the seal section is exposed. An angled interface (288) between each channel and its corresponding penetration zone provides a liquid stream pressure concentration zone which applies pressure to close a core (C) in the seal section formed by removal of the needle.

CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR BOTTLE, ASSOCIATED BOTTLE AND ASSEMBLY METHOD
20180141729 · 2018-05-24 ·

A closure assembly for a bottle including a cage, a closure cap, and a sealing nut. The cage includes a side wall with an inner surface including a first annular relief and a second annular relief spaced so as to form a seat for a collar of the bottle. The closure cap includes a head and a shank. The sealing nut includes a side wall. The inner surface of the side wall of the cage includes one or more retaining teeth for retaining the head of the closure cap. The retaining teeth are cantilevered and inclined with respect to the inner surface of the side wall of the cage. Opposite the retaining teeth a recess is provided within which the teeth can be retracted, so that the head of the sealing cap can be pushed towards the base of the cage.

CARRYING ASSEMBLY INCLUDING RESEALABLE COVER FOR CONTAINERS
20180134464 · 2018-05-17 ·

A carrying assembly including a support member integrally molded with sealing covers that have a base connected via a bridge to a lid. The base is engaged with can top end and the lid is rotatable to seal the can. A four-pack of cans is secured together by a sealing member having an annular ring defining an aperture and four radial arms. Each base is engaged with two adjacent arms. A six-pack of can is secured together by a sealing member having a central strip with an annular ring at each end and a plurality of tabs extending between adjacent bases. Each annular ring defines an aperture therein. The annular rings are rotated relative to the strip to bring the apertures into alignment. A user will insert one or more fingers into the aperture in the four-pack or the aligned apertures in the six-pack to lift and carry the same.

Hinged closure moulded in closed position
