Closure with force amplifying lever
09840356 · 2017-12-12 · ·

A closure, for rotatably coupling with a container to cover an opening of the container, includes a lid and a lever. The lid includes a primary panel defining a top surface, a skirt configured to couple with the container, and a stop positioned adjacent the top surface of the primary panel. The lid defines an outermost perimeter, and a footprint of the lid is defined within the outermost perimeter. The lever is rotably coupled with the lid to rotate relative to the lid between a use position and a storage position. When the lever is in the storage position, the lever is maintained substantially within the footprint of the lid. When the lever is in the use position, the lever extends outwardly beyond the outermost perimeter of the lid contacting the stop of the lid such that force applied to lever is transferred to the lid via the stop.

Two-part dispensing closure system with internal seal and methods of using the same

A dispensing closure system includes an upper closure portion and a lower closure portion including an axial flow conduit and a vent conduit. The upper closure portion is axially movable relative to lower closure portion between shipping and dispensing positions. A seal is disposed on the lower closure portion over the flow and vent conduits. A peripheral spacing strip is removably secured to the upper closure portion and engages with either the lower closure or the outside of the container to prevent movement. A piercing probe includes piercing elements in alignment with the flow and vent conduits for piercing the seal. In the shipping position, the piercing elements are spaced from the seal. However, when the spacing strip is removed and the upper closure portion is axially moved to the dispensing position, the piercing elements pierce the seal to open the flow conduit and the vent conduit.

Closure with Liner

A closure for a container is provided with a top portion and a skirt depending from an outer periphery of the top portion. A generally circular rim extends downwards from the lower surface of the top portion. A liner is attached to the closure between an outer surface of the rim and an inner surface of the skirt. The liner is configured to provide a fluid tight seal for containers having varied neck dimensions and/or profiles. One or more projections extend into a space formed between the lower surface of the top portion, an inner surface of the skirt, and an outer surface of the rim, with the liner enveloping and being supported in the closure by the one or more projections.

Gear reducer having a sealing plug providing axial support to a spring for gear slack compensation

PIERCING CAP AND PIERCER
20230182976 · 2023-06-15 ·

The present application relates to a system for dispensing fluid. The system includes a flexible container including a spout that is in fluid communication with an interior region of the container. The system includes a cap configured to be mounted to the spout. The cap includes an opening that leads to a membrane and a first retention mechanism located in the opening. The system includes a piercing tube having a first end configured to puncture the membrane and a second end configured to be connected to a dispensing tube. The piercing tube includes a seal bead and a second retention mechanism. The piercing tube is inserted into the opening of the cap such that the first end punctures the membrane, the first and second retention mechanisms engage each other to retain the piercing tube in the cap, and the seal bead sealingly engages the cap.

Adaptable bottle seal breaker cap
09834346 · 2017-12-05 ·

A bottle seal breaker cap breaks a foil substrate seal on the top of the body of a medicine or supplement bottle. It has one or more notches, preferably a single notch, extending up from the bottom peripheral lip of a bottle cap, including a cutting surface deep enough to cut into a sealed foil substrate installed for sanitary reasons on top of the body of a medicine or supplement bottle.

Closure with septum strip

A closure is described for a container containing a reagent. The closure includes a cover. The cover includes at least two through bore holes. The closure further includes a strip which includes a base and at least two septa. The base is of a stiff material and the septa is of a flexible material. The septa are attached to one surface of the base. Each septum includes a pre-slit bottom and a barrel forming the sides of the septum. The outer diameter of each septum barrel is larger than the inner diameter of the through bore hole such that a pressure is exerted on the septum when the septum is press fitted into the through bore hole.

Fastening device for sealing a fluid product reservoir
09802736 · 2017-10-31 · ·

A fastener device for closing a fluid reservoir (1) formed with a neck (10) provided with outer peripheral reinforcement (11) that co-operates with the remainder of the neck to define a bottom shoulder (12). The device includes a fastener ring (2) for holding a closure member (4) on the neck (10), the fastener ring (2) including a peripheral skirt (21) engaged around the neck to below the bottom shoulder (12). The skirt (21) has fastener elements (26a, 26b) that form a contact zones (27a, 27b) suitable for potentially engaging the neck (10) below the bottom shoulder (12). The contact zones (27a, 27b) are situated at different axial heights, such that some contact zones (27a; 27b) come into operating engagement below the bottom shoulder (12), while other contact zones (27a; 27b) remain inoperative.

Thermoplastic security seal with covered locking recess

A security seal includes a molded one piece body and a cover disc. The body has a cylindrical chamber for receiving the disc. A locking recess is formed in the body in communication with the chamber and defined in part by a locking shoulder. The cover is secured to the body in the chamber to enclose the locking recess. The disc is separated from the body when enclosing the chamber. A rotatable arm is attached to an extension member extending from the body via a hinge. The free end of the arm has an arrow shaped locking element attached that engages the recess locking shoulder when inserted into the recess. The locking element has a resilient tang member that is compressed by the locking shoulder and which tang member returns to its acquiescent state when fully inserted into the recess thereby locking the tang member in the recess. The cover has posts that extend through mating bores in the body, the protruding ends of the posts are deformed to preclude withdrawal of the posts from the bores to thereby lock the cover to the body.
