Releasably locking tie
The present invention is an apparatus for releasably constricting one or more objects, and in particular to a restricting blood to an injured appendage comprising an elongate band and capture device that cooperate to form a releasable, adjustable loop. A release lever and a parallel thumb mount are compressed to release the elongate band from the capture device, where the thumb mount is configured to remain fixed while the release lever rotates about a fulcrum bar to disengage a projection that locks the size of the loop.
Strain Sensing Cable Tie
A cable tie having a strain sensing device incorporated therein. In one embodiment, the strain sensing device is a fiber Bragg grating (FBG), which is preferably molded within the strap. In this case, the cable tie further includes a socket in optical communication with the fiber Bragg grating for coupling of the cable tie to an external light source. In another embodiment, the strain sensing device is a mechanical fuse that activates in the presence of a predetermined amount of strain on the cable tie. The mechanical fuse is preferably disposed on the strap and is made of a fuse material having a mechanical strength lower than a mechanical strength of the material of the strap so that the mechanical fuse will fracture or deform earlier than the material of the underlying strap when both the fuse and the strap experience the same increasing strain.
Quick connect tie down system
A quick-connect tie down system includes a grip base with a separable C-shaped clamping bracket which is interconnected thereto by a durable strap. A ratchet assembly mounted on the grip base winds the strap onto a spool to draw C-shaped clamping bracket toward a second removable connector to sandwich a portion of an article to a portion of a vehicle or secondary article. Use of one quick-connect tie down system at each end of the article ensures its retention to a vehicle or secondary article. Extension straps are provided to afford added flexibility of usage.
Cell phone connector
A mobile phone holder is disclosed for mounting a mobile phone to the dashboard of a car. This mobile phone holder is integrated into the back of a mobile phone or is attached to the back surface of the mobile phone through adhesive pads, or suction cups, or is incorporated into accessories of mobile phones such as attachable card holding wallets, and etc. One embodiment of this mobile phone holder creates a closed loop around the air vent bars. Hence, shakes of the car will not cause sudden detachment and falling of the phone. In Addition, this mobile phone holder is portable and is carried by the mobile phone. Hence, the user can readily have it upon using a temporary car. Moreover, since this mobile phone holder is not permanently stayed in the car, it is not exposed to extreme temperatures and thus its wear and tear is lower than conventional phone holders. The loop that is formed by this apparatus can also be used for mounting a mobile phone to the handlebar of a shopping cart, the handlebar of a bike, safety belt of a car, a belt loop, belt of a user, strap of a bag, or other accessories of a user. This apparatus can also be used as a general purpose fastener for fastening two or more objects together, hanging objects from a bar. Such general purpose fastener can be used as a toy, strap of a watch, or bracelet as well.
Flush cut tie device
A flush cut tie device facilitates flush trimming of excess after securing a tie device. The device includes a tie and a channel coupled to a first end of the tie. A projection is positioned in an interior of the channel. A plurality of ridges is positioned in spaced relationship along a length of the tie wherein one of the ridges is engaged by the projection when a second end of the tie is extended through the channel. A pair of grooves extends into opposite exterior faces of the channel wherein the grooves are positioned for facilitating engagement of clippers to the channel and cutting an end portion of the channel and the tie from a main portion of the channel. Thus, a cut end of the tie is flush with the main portion of the channel when the end portion of the channel is clipped.

Heat resistant toughened thermoplastic composition for injection molding
Injection molded parts with a small dimension that exhibit high heat resistance are described. Thermoplastic compositions that can be utilized to form the injection molded parts are described. The thermoplastic composition includes a polyarylene sulfide and a crosslinked impact modifier. The thermoplastic composition can also include siloxane polymers, thermoplastic elastomers, or other additives that can further improve the characteristics of the injection molded parts.
Lever binder
An anchor point for a lever binder is disclosed herein. The anchor point includes a collar. The anchor point also includes a cap including a base and at least one arm. The collar and the cap cooperate to form an aperture for receiving a handle of a lever binder.
Pole mounting system for lockable key housing
The mounting system and device secures a container, such as a lockable container to a pole. A housing restricts access to the fasteners and other attachments that secure the container to the pole. A unitary fastener, such as a U-bolt, secures the housing to the pole. The two ends of the unitary fastener enter a first section of a rear wall and a second section of the rear wall to attach to the housing at an interior attachment surface. A curvature in the rear wall separates the first section and the second section of the rear wall. The curvature of the rear wall contacts the pole. The housing, the guard plate, and the container cover the fasteners to reduce access to the fasteners.
Apparatus for securing medical drain tube
A device for releasably and adjustably securing a medical tube includes a receiver and a tail, which may be used for thoracostomy. The receiver has a receiver aperture and receiver teeth. The tail has center holes along a central axis of the device. Raised tail teeth are formed on the tail between the central axis and the tail sides. The tail teeth are arranged to engage the receiver teeth when an end of the tail is fed through the receiver aperture to form a tail loop. The receiver teeth define receiver teeth apertures that are smaller than the receiver aperture. The tail loop is adjustable to tighten around the medical tube.
