A method for packaging a housing having an essentially parallelepipedal form defined by main faces includes a first larger face and a second larger face and lateral faces, the lateral faces being separated in pairs by corners of the housing, the housing housing a digital detector of ionizing radiation in the form of a flat panel, the method comprising a main step of covering of the housing by several films comprising a first step of covering of the first larger face of the housing by a first film configured, positioned and oriented relative to the first larger face so as to include flaps extending beyond the first larger face and capable of being folded independently of one another to cover adjacent lateral faces.

Releasable ratchet strap having a lock mechanism
10308407 · 2019-06-04 ·

A releasable ratchet strap having a plurality of strap teeth and a robust flexible inner core connected to a housing having a lock mechanism. A lever is hingedly connected to the housing. The housing retains a lock pin having at least one recess. The lock mechanism is oriented in an unlocked configuration when at least one recess of the lock pin is in alignment with a portion of the latch. When the latch is depressed, the latch tooth of the latch is released from contact with a strap tooth of the ratchet strap. When the lock mechanism is oriented in a locked orientation, no recess of the lock pin is in alignment with a portion of the latch. In a locked orientation, the lock pin obstructs the latch from hingedly pivoting and the latch tooth engages the strap tooth of a ratchet strap.

Drinking straw wrapper having separable and easily replaceable upper portion providing reusable straw top cover
10287076 · 2019-05-14 ·

A drinking straw wrapper comprises an upper portion and a lower portion detachably engaged with the upper portion. The upper and lower portions are collectively configured to enclose a drinking straw. Detachment of the upper portion from the lower portion creates an opening in the upper portion and an opening in the lower portion, with the opening in the upper portion being substantially wider than the opening in the lower portion so as to facilitate replacement of the upper portion on a top of the straw after its initial removal therefrom. The upper portion may be formed from a first material and the lower portion formed from a second material different than the first material. Alternatively, the upper portion may be formed from a material having a first thickness and the lower portion formed from a same material but having a second thickness that is less than the first thickness.

A bottle or jar identification device comprising a multi-layer token that produces a permanent image when pressure is applied to a writing surface. The token may be affixed to the cap or cover or to the bottle or jar itself. The token can comprise a magic slate, ink meant to fail, lottery type rub-off material, microencapsulated ink, or any other material that produces an image when pressure is applied using a stylus, a fingernail, or any other sharp instrument. The token may also have an adhesive layer. The token having an adhesive layer may be applied to any surface.

Method for controlling a system for measuring a vehicle gap or step

Provided are a system and method for measuring a vehicle gap or step, where a vehicle body to which a hood, a door, and a trunk lid are assembled is seated on a carrier and moved along transfer lines. The system may be installed over the transfer lines and may include one or more door regulating units attached between the vehicle body and the door, upper rails in both sides above a workplace corresponding to the transfer lines, a moving frame movable below the upper rails, a forward/backward moving unit above the moving frame, a horizontal moving unit to move installation frames, a vertical moving unit in the installation frames to reciprocally move a sliding plate upwardly and downwardly, a measurement module movable and rotatable to measure the gap or the step, and an electronic tag on a roof of the vehicle body.

Method for the production of superabsorbent pellets and/or of a fibrous material from crop residues
10260169 · 2019-04-16 · ·

The method of the invention comprises the following steps: (i) cutting the maize stalks so as the less leafy stalk segments, higher than 70 cm, stay on the field; (ii) cutting the less leafy stalk segments as close to the ground as possible; (iii) harvesting the less leafy stalk segments cut in step (ii); (iv) cutting the in step (iii) harvested less leafy stalk segments into 5-50 mm stalk sections; (v) providing a mechanical impact to the stalk sections of step (iv) to obtain a mix containing: f1. said spongy cores forming the superabsorbent pellets fraction, f2. said elongated fiber pieces forming the fibrous matter fraction, f3. and said leaf matter forming the leafy fraction,
(vi) separating the 3 fractions from each other;
(vii) recovering the three fractions f1-f2-f3; The invention also pertains to the so obtained products and to their uses in treatments of liquids or gases.
