DRUM FOR STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION OF ARTICLES AND MATERIALS
A drum for storage and transportation of a coil, the drum comprises a base having a bottom part configured to rest on a planar horizontal surface. A hollow core having a polygonal cross-sectional shape extends from the top side of the base. A cover also extends from the top side of the base and has an inner wall in the form of a circular cylinder. The cover is spaced from the core, forming an annular space for receiving a coil of cable, tubing or the like. The core is composed of a plurality of substantially planar parts hinged to one another so that the core can be collapsed and stored or shipped in a substantially flat condition and expanded to its polygonal shape for connection to the base. The cover is composed of two or more arc-shaped parts, which are capable of being nested for storage and shipment.
CONTAINER CARRIER
A flexible carrier for carrying a plurality of containers within a plurality of corresponding container receiving apertures formed in longitudinal rows and transverse ranks and a handle extending parallel to the rows of container receiving apertures. The handle is connected at attachment points along the carrier and corresponding thickened sections are included along the bands opposite the connection points.
Baggage conveyance tray
A baggage conveyance tray suitable for a sorting conveyor system for conveying baggage at airports has raised wall plate portions protruding on the front and rear both end portions of the tray in the length (conveyance) direction thereof extending in the right-left width direction of the tray. A baggage placement surface located between the front and rear both raised wall plate portions is concave along the length direction such that the central portion in the right-left width direction is lowered while the right and left both sides are raised. Elongated protrusion portions extending along the right-left width direction of the tray are disposed on the baggage placement surface at intervals in the length direction of the tray.
EXTERNAL PACKAGING FOR SAFEGUARDING AT LEAST ONE PACKAGE DURING TRANSPORTATION
A process for safeguarding a product during transportation comprises forming a package by surrounding a product with packaging material and accommodating the package in an external packaging that comprises a carrier element and a bag element. The carrier element includes an upper side including a border and a lower side opposite the upper side, wherein the lower side comprises a base. Further, the bag element comprises a base and a bag opening with a border opposite the base of the bag element. The package is accommodated in the external packaging by loading the package onto the carrier element such that the package is carried by the carrier element and loading the carrier element via the bag opening into the bag element such that the bag element surrounds the carrier element and the bag element extends on the upper side of the carrier element beyond the border of the carrier element.
HEAT TRANSFER SYSTEM FOR WAREHOUSED GOODS
Systems and methods for airflow management around palletized cases of goods in a warehouse storage facility are provided, in which airflow around each individual layer of cases is facilitated while airflow spillage around the sides, top or bottom of pallet assemblies is minimized or eliminated. One exemplary device for such airflow management includes palletized product spacers disposed between respective layers of vertically stacked cases, in which the product spacers facilitate a substantially unidirectional longitudinal airflow. Another exemplary airflow management device is a series of automatically adjustable air dams disposed at the tops of respective pallet assemblies which prevent air spillage and establish intermediate air manifold spaces. Yet another device is a lateral pallet spacer prevents direct abutment of the side surfaces of neighboring pallet assemblies and thereby ensures that the air manifold spaces are in fluid communication with the spacers of multiple pallet assemblies.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PALLET-LESS PACKAGING UNIT AND A PACKAGING UNIT PRODUCED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD
A method for producing a pallet-less packaging unit has multiple packaging objects stacked to a stack of goods. The objects are stacked with a special layer that forms at least two encroachment areas for fork legs of a lift truck in at least one stack level. The special layer is first stacked on a normal layer larger than the special layer. The stack of goods is wrapped with its encroachment areas with a first film, the stack of goods that is wrapped on one side is turned around so the part of the stack of goods that has the special layer comes downwards and the stack of goods is wrapped with a second film that reaches up to the first film. In embodiments, second encroachment areas extend essentially at a right angle to first encroachment areas. The method provides a pallet-less packaging unit that can be handled more easily.
Method for transporting mattresses and shipping container holding an assembly of stacked mattresses
An assembly of stacked mattresses and a method for preparing such an assembly are provided. The assembly of stacked mattresses comprises a first pallet, a second pallet, a plurality of mattresses positioned between the first pallet and the second pallet and straps coupling the first pallet to the second pallet, the plurality of mattresses being in a compressed state between the first pallet and the second pallet and the straps restraining expansion of the plurality of mattresses. The second pallet is comprised of a supporting member and a plurality of elongated reinforcing members extending across the supporting member, at least some of the reinforcing members including respective strap guiding members extending longitudinally along the elongated reinforcing member. At least some of the straps engage respective ones of the strap guiding members of the plurality of elongated reinforcing member of the second pallet so that displacement of the straps is constrained by the strap guiding members. In accordance with another aspect, a pallet for using in shipping bedding products is provided.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PACKING AND SHIPPING FORMED WRAPPING SHEETS
An apparatus and method for packaging and transportation of a preformed wrapping sheet is disclosed and claimed herein. One implementation of the technology as disclosed herein includes a method and apparatus for packaging and transportation of preformed wrapping sheets including Pre-Formed Plant Covers commonly referred to as a Pot Cover involving clear tubing constructed of a pliable material, including clear plastic tubing or other pliable material, and transportation storage racks assembled from substantially rigid pallets, including plastic pallets or other substantially rigid material, and corner boards, commonly known as beads.
SHIPPING UNIT LOAD WITH INCREASED STABILITY AND/OR SHIPPING EFFICIENCY
Cargo assemblages including a pallet, a load of packages arranged in one or more layers. and a support layer, in which the support layer is sized and positioned within the cargo assemblage to support and/or stabilize the cargo, thereby providing improved pallet efficiency, improved shipping efficiency, and/or improved stability.
Transport container for silicon fragments
A transport container. The transport container is used for the packaging and transportation of silicon fragments. Where the transport container includes 8 to 14 flat film bags or 8 to 12 flat double film bags that contain an amount of the silicon fragments therein.
