POLYETHYLENE-BASED THERMALLY-SHRINKABLE MULTILAYER FILM FOR PACKAGING, AND PACKAGE AND PACKAGING METHOD THEREFOR
A polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable film for pack-in box packaging, in which: a product is not damaged due to breakage or looseness of a film during packaging and transportation of the product; because of the low-temperature shrink characteristic, the product is not exposed to excessively high heat during shrink wrapping and power consumption in a shrink tunnel can be reduced; and because of a small thickness of the film, garbage and other wastes can be reduced. The film is a polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable multilayer film for pack-in box packaging obtained by biaxial orientation in MD and TD and stretching in MD only further after biaxial orientation. Preferably, the film is a polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable multilayer film for pack-in box packaging in which the film as a whole has a thickness of 25 μm or less.
CONTAINER APPARATUS
A container apparatus including a container and a sleeve with pre-weakened areas to facilitate detaching the sleeve from the container. The container may include a body and a cap coupled thereto. The sleeve may include tamper evident features and may maintain the container in a closed and packaged state prior to purchase and use by a consumer. The sleeve may include different pre-weakened or perforated sections to permit the consumer to remove a first portion of the sleeve to permit the user to open the container and use the product therein without also removing a second portion of the sleeve which may contain product information. The sleeve may then include an additional pre-weakened or perforated section to permit the consumer to remove the second portion of the sleeve after the container is empty for sustainability purposes so that the container is more readily recyclable.

Flat-bottom stand-up bag, vertical form, fill, and seal system and methodology for utilizing the same
A vertical form fill and seal system supports a sheet of material having material segments and a tube sized for drawing edges of the elongated sheet of material together in an overlapping configuration to form the sheet into a substantially tube shape. The VFFS also includes a sealer that seals the edges of the material to one another and a gusseting mechanism sized for forming a gusseted tuck in each of a left panel portion of the material and a right panel portion of the material. A cutting mechanism removes a first portion and a second portion of a first segment of the material segments in order to form a first cut and a second cut in the first segment and a sealing mechanism folds and seals the first segment at the first cut and at the second cut to provide an end wall with a substantially flat, rectangular-shaped footprint.
COLONOSCOPY PREP BAG AND METHODS OF USE
The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition of polyethylene glycol in solid powder form contained within a polymer bag having an opening. The invention also provides a method for administering a pharmaceutical composition of polyethylene glycol in solid powder form. The method includes providing a polymer bag containing the pharmaceutical composition of polyethylene glycol and adding a fluid to the bag. The polymer bag has a threaded spout and a cap threadably mountable to the spout. The threaded spout forms a passageway to an interior volume of the bag.
Stand-Up Flexible Container
Non-durable self-supporting flexible containers can include a first film wall including a structural support volume defined in a first portion of the first film wall; a second film wall; and a bottom extending between the first and second film walls, the first and second film walls and the bottom defining a product volume. The bottom comprises a bottom face, and at least a portion of the bottom face is arranged to contact a horizontal support surface.
Concentrate container having supporting elements
A container for dialysis concentrates, in particular acidic dry concentrates, has integral supporting elements. When these dry concentrates are dissolved directly by a dialysis machine to form liquid concentrates, the container must provide a volume of 4-12 liters. To impart the required stability to the container, the container includes the integral supporting elements, which manifest their supporting function only when the container is used on the dialysis machine.
Infant formula receptacle with pliable pouch, and infant feeding systems
A disposable receptacle useful with an infant feeding system, including a pliable pouch. The pliable pouch may have a single compartment, or a pair of compartments wherein a first compartment is filled with powdered formula, and a second compartment is filled with distilled water. When compartmentalized, the compartments are separated by a burst seal designed to fail upon subjection to pressure of between about 1-3 lbs. The receptacles include a cylindrical fitment with a one-way valve removably positioned therewithin. A top seal of the pliable pouch is secured about the body of the fitment. The receptacles may be used with an infant feeding system having a support disc with an aperture to receive and secure the fitment, and a nipple having an internal chamber sized and configured to tightly and removably receive a portion of the fitment. The infant feeding system may optionally include a bottle and a securing ring.
FLEXIBLE CARRYING CASE
A thermoplastic flexible package includes a first non-shrinkable panel, an opposing second non-shrinkable panel, a first shrinkable panel and an opposing a second shrinkable panel. The panels are connected longitudinally with panel seals. The first non-shrinkable panel and the second non-shrinkable panel each forms a gusset. A first seal connects the first shrinkable panel and the second shrinkable panel in the transverse direction at or near the upper edges. A second seal that opposes the first seal connects the first and second non-shrinkable panels and the first and shrinkable panels in the transverse direction at or near the lower edges.
Method of shrink packaging a series of containers with a perforated shrink film
The invention relates to shrink packaging (1) for packing a series of containers (2), said packaging comprising a first zone (3) and, in this zone, at least one incision line including a series of perforations forming at least one partially detachable section (4) arranged to allow the extraction of at least one container (2) in a direction extending substantially from the lower part of the container (2) to the upper part thereof, said partially detachable packaging section (4) being larger than the cross-section of the at least one container (2) to be extracted. Moreover, the partially detachable section (4) is located on the periphery of the first zone (3).
