Process for assembling packaging for a flexible container
A packaging for a flexible container, in particular for a disposable bag for use in a bioreactor, including a bottom part for fixing a first portion of the container, a ceiling part for fixing an opposite second portion of the container, a receiving space which on a first side is defined by the bottom part and on an opposite second side is defined by the ceiling part, and struts arranged between the bottom part and the ceiling part, which fix a defined distance between the bottom part and the ceiling part.
Dry prosthetic heart valve packaging system
Packaging for prosthetic heart valves including an assembly for stabilizing dry prosthetic tissue implants such as heart valves during storage. The packaging assembly can be used for storing a bioprosthetic heart valve without a liquid preservative solution. The packaging assembly can have a valve holder configured for removably attaching a bioprosthetic heart valve, a storage tray comprising an open end and a cavity, and a retaining member configured for removably attaching the valve holder. The retaining member can be generally planar and have a slot having a closed end and an open outer end. The valve holder can be configured to be retained at the closed end of the slot in the retaining member.
MEAT PATTY TRAY AND METHOD OF PACKAGING AND DISPLAY
A molded plastic tray is provided according to the invention adapted to display meat or other perishable thawed food patty products in a disc configuration, and designed to withstand movement of the patties during shipping and display. The tray is designed to hold the meat products in a flat disc configuration while being loaded, wrapped, shipped and displayed on one side edge. The tray is designed to provide structural rigidity that resists warping and breakage, thus enabling the loaded and sealed tray to be handled, shipped, and displayed with minimal leakage or breakage. In some embodiments the tray includes features that facilitate de-nesting of a stack of empty trays, and is adapted to facilitate movement of the wrapped package on a moving conveyor line. The tray is easy to manufacture and provides a lightweight and cost effective packaging product. Preferably the tray has a generally rectangular shape (with rounded corners) that provides for consistent wrapping strength and can be handled on standard processing equipment.
Containment sleeves for packages containing medical devices
A package for a medical device includes a tray with a top surface, a bottom surface, a proximal end, a distal end, and first and second lateral sides that extend between the proximal and distal ends. The package has a retainer sleeve wrapped around the tray, the retainer sleeve including a top panel covering the top surface of the tray, a bottom panel covering the bottom surface of the tray, and a connecting panel extending between the top and bottom panels and covering one of the first and second lateral sides of the tray. The top panel of the retaining sleeve includes a proximal edge, a distal edge, an outer edge, a cut that extends inwardly from the outer edge, and an extended tab that extends along the outer edge of the top panel and distally beyond the cut formed in the outer edge of the top panel. The extended tab is tucked under the connecting panel and disposed between the connecting panel and one of the first and second lateral sides of the tray covered by the connecting panel. A retainer lid covers the distal end of the top panel of the retainer sleeve and is connected with the distal end of the tray for securing the distal end of the retainer sleeve to the tray.
Fruit packaging containers
Described herein are sealable, breathable bags for packaging, storing, and transporting fresh fruit in boxes. The bags protects the fruit from outside contaminants while maintaining a modified atmosphere environment around the fruit to preserve the freshness of the fruit. Furthermore, the bags are constructed in such a way that they have a flattened closed configuration and an fully opened configuration that allows them to efficiently fit into a generally cuboid, open-topped packaging box to be filled with fresh fruit and then seal around the fruit in the box, such as by sliding a slider across an upper closure of the bag.
Wrapper for tobacco industry products
A wrapper for a group of tobacco industry products is disclosed. The wrapper has a barrier material and a tab arranged such that pulling the tab separates a section of the barrier material from the remainder of the barrier material to form an extraction opening. The barrier material has a cut arranged such that when the tab is pulled the barrier material is torn along a path extending from the cut to form the extraction opening in the barrier material.
STAND-UP TRAY, PACKAGE AND METHOD
A tray (20) for use in a food package having an outer surrounding wrapper (14), such as a flow wrap, and configured for standing on end, is described herein. The tray can include one or more compartments (30). Each of the compartments can include a bottom wall (34), an opening (36) opposite the bottom wall, and a surrounding side wall (32) extending between the bottom wall and the opening. A generally planar, peripheral flange (22) is disposed about the periphery of the tray and adjacent the opening of the compartment or, if more than one compartments, the openings of the compartments. The tray can include a pair of flaps (40), each disposed on an opposite side of the tray. Each of the flaps (40) is connected to the flange (22) via an associated intersection and extends substantially perpendicular relative to the flange such that the tray can be supported on one of the flaps in a generally upright orientation.
Combination shipping and display package
A combination shipping and display package for relatively small articles, especially gift items such as candy and other food, small green plants, young tree seedlings, or flowering plants. The package is designed to be lightweight, to protect the article being shipped, and to function as an adornment after delivery. The package includes a container for the article to be shipped, a stand for supporting the container, and a cap for covering the stand. The stand is collapsible into a flat shape and is expandable into an open upright shape for displaying the shipped article. The stand may also have printed matter thereon to provide a message or advertisement. When a plant is being shipped, the package may include a water-resistant breathable bag surrounding the container to help contain the seed or root ball of the plant during shipment, and to provide an additional ornamental feature for the plant when displayed.
Medical Device Kit with Integrated Organization and Waste Disposal Features
Provided herein is a medical device kit that includes a base sheet having an inner surface and an outer surface and a first base portion and a second base portion, the base sheet configurable between a folded state and an unfolded state. A first waste bin is secured to the first base portion on the inner surface and a second waste bin is secured to the second base portion on the inner surface. A plurality of pockets configured to retain medical supplies therein is attached to the first waste bin, the second waste, or both the first and second waste bins, on an outward facing surface thereof. A plurality of fastening devices is provided configured to secure the first base portion to the second base portion when the base sheet is in the folded state and to selectively seal shut the first waste bin and the second waste bin.
