A container (1) for transportation and/or storage of items is provided with under-slung lifting formations (8, 9) for aiding lifting of the container, rotatable support members (10, 11) upon which the container may be moved, and/or means (17) for securing like containers positioned in side by side relationship to be releasably secured to one another. The invention enables securing together containers in side by side relationship and moving/lifting the containers together between picking or loading locations. Following loading of the containers with at least some material at the distributed picking/loading locations, the containers may be disengaged and separated for onward transportation in separation.

Body fluid collection device and testing device

A testing device according to the present invention includes a housing including a skin surface sheet and an upper surface cover. A hollow needle configured to interlock with the upper surface cover and a testing reagent or equipment are accommodated in the housing. Through deformation of the upper surface cover by application of an external force, the hollow needle perforates the skin. A body fluid flows in the space inside of the housing and is brought into contact with the testing reagent or equipment to acquire information on the body fluid. Through recovery of the upper surface cover to an original shape by elimination of the external force, the hollow needle again becomes accommodated in the housing.

Product and package with a photosensitive use-evident feature

A product includes a container, a photosensitive material carried by the container and responsive to ultraviolet light, and a UV protector carried by the container to protect the photosensitive material from exposure to UV light. A method of producing a food or beverage container includes applying a photochromic material to a food or beverage container that is responsive to ultraviolet (UV) light so as to darken upon exposure thereto, and protecting at least a portion of the photochromic material from exposure to UV light.

Protective container for a flat screen monitor

The invention is a protective container for transporting an enclosed object such as a flat screen television or other flat screen monitor. The protective covering includes two flaps and a base having soft padding material on their inner surfaces. An open configuration is essentially flat, allowing a monitor to be easily positioned on the covering. The flaps fold up to transform the protective container into a closed configuration, with straps or other connectors holding the flaps in place. The protective container has various features making it convenient to move manually and to transport in a delivery truck. The protective container is more convenient to use than the prior art, and can be manufactured from relatively inexpensive materials.

A packaging member includes a packaging box and an intermediate buffering member. The intermediate buffering member is provided in a space formed between a bottom plate and a side plate of the packaging box and a main body part of the article. The intermediate buffering member has a vertical direction supporting part and a positioning part. The vertical direction supporting part abuts against a lower face of the main body part and the bottom plate. The positioning part is coupled with the vertical direction supporting part. The positioning part prevents the vertical direction supporting part from being moved toward the side plate. The vertical direction supporting part has an inclined part extending from the lower face of the main body part in an oblique lower direction toward near a lower corner between the bottom plate and the side plate and abutting against the bottom plate.

A shipping structure is formed from a mixture of small pieces of tumbled glass. The shipping structure can incorporate a wick element to allow the shipping structure to function as a candle. The glass and wax may be from post-consumer materials. The shipping structure can be chilled for use in shipping of materials where cooling of shipped materials will be beneficial. Multiple shipping structures can be combined to house or shield shipped items within a container.

A novel enclosure is used to prevent health-care-associated infections caused by contamination of devices such as cellular telephones, laptops, tablet computers, purses, and briefcases. Such a device is placed into the enclosure and is carried into a disinfected or clean environment, such as an operating room. The enclosure prevents infectious agents or other contaminants on the surface of the device from contaminating the clean environment. The enclosure also protects the environments outside the operating room from contaminants within the operating room. The enclosure is inexpensively manufactured and disposable. The enclosure may include an effective amount of antibacterial, antifungal, and/or antiviral compounds. The enclosure may be used in the residence of an individual with a compromised immune system. The enclosure may be used to bring a device into and out of a home or room of an individual who is extremely neat or is inflicted with an obsessive-compulsive disorder.
