Container for use in food processing
A multilayer container for elevated temperature, high pressure processing of a material within the container, using a pressure transmission liquid within the container, the multilayer container having a container wall having an inner layer formed of a plastic for containing the liquid in contact with the inner side thereof and at least one further layer outboard of the inner layer and formed of different plastic from the inner layer, wherein the inner layer has a compression heating coefficient at least as high as the compression heating coefficient of the pressure transmission liquid in contact with the inner side thereof and the at least one further layer has a lower thermal conductivity at ambient pressure and temperature than the inner layer.

Enclosure and method for prevention of health-care-associated infections from contaminated devices
A novel enclosure is used to prevent health-care-associated infections caused by contamination of devices such as cellular telephones, laptops, tablet computers, purses, and briefcases. Such a device is placed into the enclosure and is carried into a disinfected or clean environment, such as an operating room. The enclosure prevents infectious agents or other contaminants on the surface of the device from contaminating the clean environment. The enclosure also protects the environments outside the operating room from contaminants within the operating room. The enclosure is inexpensively manufactured and disposable. The enclosure may include an effective amount of antibacterial, antifungal, and/or antiviral compounds. The enclosure may be used in the residence of an individual with a compromised immune system. The enclosure may be used to bring a device into and out of a home or room of an individual who is extremely neat or is inflicted with an obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Portable smoking storage case
A portable smoking storage case for storing and using a substance for recreational or medical use is disclosed. The case comprises a body and a lid attached to a side of the body. Located within the body are a built-in rechargeable battery to power a built-in lighter that is connected to a control unit activating the lighter, a compartment for storing tools needed to use the substance, a removable container having a sealable stopper for storing the substance, and a built-in safety mechanism that is connected to a trigger switch on the control unit to prevent accidental activation of the lighter when the lid closes. The trigger switch is activated through a contact communication with the lid when the lid opens, which in turn disables the built-in safety mechanism.
Product and package with a photosensitive use-evident feature
A product includes a container, a photosensitive material carried by the container and responsive to ultraviolet light, and a UV protector carried by the container to protect the photosensitive material from exposure to UV light. A method of producing a food or beverage container includes applying a photochromic material to a food or beverage container that is responsive to ultraviolet (UV) light so as to darken upon exposure thereto, and protecting at least a portion of the photochromic material from exposure to UV light.

Container System and Method for Freezing and Thawing a Liquid Product
Container system and method for freezing (and subsequently thawing) a liquid such as a drug substance, such that all containers in a set have a uniform width, hence uniform freeze-path length, in the widthwise direction and perpendicular to major walls of the containers, irrespective of the particular length, height, and volumetric capacity of the various containers in the set. This leads to uniform freezing performance and thereby reduces cryoconcentration. The system also eliminates or reduces ice-bridging, and the potential for containers rupturing during freezing and thawing operations.

Preform-charge cartridges and serialization methods therefor
A cartridge for storing and transporting fiber-bundle-based preform charges includes a plurality of cells arranged within the housing, wherein each cell is physically adapted to receive a preform charge and prevent it from moving therein as the cartridge is transported. In some embodiments, the cartridge and preform charges it conveys are serialized.
