In some embodiments the system is modular and adjustable for different situations.

A system and technique has been developed to print graphics on a pallet. In one form, the graphics are printed on one of the decks of the pallet. The graphics in one variation are printed on a deck that is in the form of a flat, contiguous surface via a flatbed printer. The flatbed printer has a printer head that forms a gap that is able to accommodate the deck of the pallet. After printing, the deck is assembled with the rest of the pallet. The graphics can include text and images. In one form, the graphics include a packing template that shows how at least one packing layer should be packed on the pallet.

The paper sleeve also having a ripcord configured to open an edge of the paper sleeve to provide an access point for removal of the paper insert. The paper sleeve further having a front surface with a cutout extending therethrough. The cutout aligns with and provides visual access to the removable item. The removable item is a different color than or provides contrast with the front surface of the paper sleeve. The paper sleeve further having a rear surface with an activation code that is associated with the redeemable code.

A storage and transport system for containers of liquid, comprising a detachable or separable handle component configured to securely hold or enclose a liquid-holding container and provide a carrying handle therefor; and a self-sealing receipt or label configured to receive printed information regarding the contents of the liquid-holding container, wherein the self-sealing receipt or label cooperates with the carrying handle to securely close the handle component around the liquid holding container, and wherein the self-sealing receipt or label is configured to provide visual evidence of tampering if the self-sealing receipt or label is separated from itself.

3-D PRINTED PACKAGING

Items may be packaged for shipping or storage using additive manufacturing techniques, also known as three dimensional (3-D) printing. Packages made by such processes may be referred to as 3-D printed packages and may include packing material printed at least partially around the item(s) and/or an outer cover printed about at least a portion of an exterior of the packing material and/or the item(s). A packaging system may include a 3-D printer and a computing device communicatively coupled to the 3-D printer. The computing device may obtain a packaging model describing a package for one or more items. A print module of the computing device may include instructions to print the package at least partially about the item(s) according to the packaging model.

A container forming apparatus includes a plurality of forming members that have outer forming surfaces, which are shaped to form pockets in a sheet of material. A plurality of actuators are in mechanical connection with the forming members. The actuators are able to extend and retract the forming members. A controller is in electrical communication with the plurality of actuators. The controller is able to simultaneously extend any one or any combination of the forming members to create a plurality of pockets in a determined pattern in the sheet of material to produce a customized blister pack.

The presence of pathogens in fresh food is the cause of food loss and the spread of diseases and death in humans. Packaging disclosed herein includes a semi-rigid or flexible package for fresh fruits and vegetables, which incorporates an antipathogenic barrier using carbon allotrope ink and air filters. An embodiment of a packaging container is formed of a body and a paperboard lid, the body having a geometric pattern printed in its interior with antipathogenic ink. The container body includes a bottom with a hollow window, covered by two or more layers of microperforated polymeric films that have an air filtration function. A version of a semi-rigid cellulose lid incorporates a hollow window, covered by two or more microperforated polymeric films. Further disclosed is a portion of the container made of cellulose material and printed with antipathogenic ink.
