SLIDE-LOCK LID
A portable beverage container lid can include a main outer housing, a slider top assembly coupled thereto, a carrier disposed therewithin, and beverage and vent seals coupled to the carrier. The main outer housing can include a beverage opening and a vent opening. The slider top assembly can slide laterally between open and closed positions. The carrier can move when the slider top assembly slides laterally. The beverage seal can close the beverage opening when the slider top assembly is in the closed position and allow the beverage to pass through the beverage opening when the slider top assembly is in the closed position. The vent seal can close the vent opening when the slider top assembly is in the closed position and allow air to pass through the vent opening when the slider top assembly is in the closed position. The beverage and vent seals can be actuated simultaneously.
CONTAINER SEAL OVER-PRESSURE VENT MECHANISM
A container assembly includes a vessel and a lid removably coupled to the vessel. The lid includes a circumferential rim at an interface with the vessel, wherein the rim is separated from the vessel by a gap, wherein the gap is open to the atmosphere outside the container. The container includes a gasket disposed at a sealing position between the lid and the vessel to seal a reservoir of the vessel from the gap. The rim includes a recess extending circumferentially along a first portion of the rim. The recess forms a portion of the gap and defines a venting zone extending circumferentially along the first portion of the rim. In response to the internal reservoir of the vessel reaching a threshold pressure, a portion of the gasket moves from the sealing position through the gap such that fluid held in the reservoir is vented past the gasket through the venting zone to reduce the pressure of the reservoir.
Sterilization pouch
The invention provides a sterilizable pouch having at least one wall formed of a flexible film and including an opening formed therein for providing communication to an interior space of the package. A breathable material is disposed on an outer surface of the wall covering the opening. The breathable material is joined to the outer surface of the wall with a continuous heat seal. The flexible film forming the wall comprises a multilayer film having a peel feature that permits the breathable material to be peelably removed from the surface of the pouch.
VENTED SEALABLE BAG
A vented sealable bag comprises a container, a two-part seal and a vent. The container has opposing sidewalls and a bottom defining a cavity. The sidewalls form a neck defining an opening opposite the bottom, The sidewalls have an inner surface facing the cavity and an outer surface external to the container and the sidewalls have a thickness. A two-part seal is formed on the inner surface of the sidewalls adjacent the neck. The two-part seal has a hook formed on one sidewall and a clasp formed on an opposite sidewall. The hook and clasp are arranged on the inner surface of the sidewalls to form an airtight seal isolating the cavity from an external environment when the hook is embedded in the clasp but otherwise maintain the opening in the container. A vent is integrally formed in one of the sidewalls. The vent is further comprised of a dimple having a thickness that is thinner than the thickness of the sidewalls. The dimple is concave when viewed from the cavity and has a slit formed at an apex that is closed except when the container is sealed and an internal pressure is created that is higher than an external pressure on the outer surface of the sidewalls.
Synthetic resin-made multilayer container
A synthetic resin-made multilayer bottle includes: an outer shell bottle having a shoulder section continuing from an outer opening section, and a body section continuing from the shoulder section; a synthetic resin-made inner container body having a cylindrical inner opening section provided inside the outer opening section of the outer shell bottle, and an inner container main body continuing from the inner opening section, shaped along an inner surface shape of the outer shell bottle, which deforms by an external pressure; and an air passage formed between the outer opening section and the inner opening section and which introduces outside air between the outer shell bottle and the inner container body. The inner circumferential surface of the inner opening section is provided with a small-diameter section having a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the open end of the inner opening section.
Tamper-resistant air-permeable container
A tamper-resistant air-permeable container includes a cover having a bottom that is formed with a first wall having primary troughs and primary blocks and formed with a retaining engagement portion; and a box including a receiving space and having a second wall that is provided with a first step part lower than the second wall and a second step part lower than the first step part to define forming therebetween a retaining engagement groove. The second wall is formed with secondary troughs, each including a curved section, such that each of the secondary troughs has a curved configuration. When the cover is combined with the box, the retaining engagement portions of the cover are fit into and retained in the retaining engagement groove. The primary troughs and the secondary troughs form passages in communication with the receiving space.
MULTISENSORY EXAMINATION JAR FOR BOTANICAL SPECIMENS
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for a multisensory examination jar for botanical specimens. Embodiments of the disclosed jar may have a body portion with an integrated LED array for illuminating the contents of the jar. The jar may have a removable lid with an integrated magnifying lens, and an opening or port to enable a user to smell the contents of the jar. The opening may have a removable plug to establish a substantially air tight seal on the lid of the jar, to trap odors within the jar. The removable plug can be selectively removed to enable the user to smell the contents of the jar. The jar may have an electronics module and power source operable for wireless charging. The jar may also be configured to interface with a charging dock or base for wireless charging of integrated batteries.
Zipper tape, bag, and method for producing bag
A zipper tape includes a pair of belt-shaped bases bondable to a film of a bag body, and mutually engageable engagement portion each integrally provided to corresponding one of the belt-shaped bases. One of the belt-shaped bases includes at least two portions having different bonding strengths to the film on a side opposite a side provided with the engagement portion and between an edge of the one of the belt-shaped bases in a width direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction to a point at which the engagement portions are provided. A bonding strength of a first portion of the at least two portions to the film may be larger than a bonding strength of a second portion to the film.
MASON CONTAINER LID
A lid assembly includes a lid element having an annularly shaped peripheral portion configured to be axially aligned with and disposed between a rim of a canning container and a radially extending portion of a retainer element when the lid assembly is engaging the canning container and the retainer element is removably coupled to the canning container. An annularly shaped sealing element is disposed on the peripheral portion of the lid element and is configured to directly engage the rim of the canning container when the lid assembly is contacting the canning container. A plurality of projections is formed in the peripheral portion of the lid element with each of the projections forming a distally disposed surface of the peripheral portion with respect to an exterior axial direction of the lid element extending away from an interior of the canning container when the lid assembly is engaging the rim.
Paper-based composite container for off-gassing products, and method for making same
A paper-based composite container for an off-gassing product includes a paperboard can body having a substantially gas-impervious liner attached to an inner surface thereof, and a pair of substantially paper-based end closures attached to the opposite ends of the can body, each end closure defining a generally cylindrical sealing panel in contact with an inner surface of the can body. Heat-sealable materials are disposed on opposing surfaces of the sealing panel and can body. The sealing panels of the end closures are attached to the can body by heat seals. The heat seal for at least one of the end closures is discontinuous such that at least one vent channel extends through the heat seal to establish fluid communication between an interior of the container and the environment outside the container. The at least one vent channel is operable to vent excess gas pressure from the interior of the container.
